Recently got the mace/offhand combo from brd. Thought oh this would be nifty for healer call to arms. Opened the resto tree for the first time in TWW. I just want to say sorry to any resto druids, I thought the boomkin and bear talent trees were stressful. I don’t think druid is for me anymore.
I don’t mind the spec’s tree as much. Could be better, yeah… but the Class tree is where the atrocity is.
For the spec tree, the part that bothers me the most and what I would change:
-
Swap Efflorescence with Improved Regrowth. The former is almost useless in PVP (which is the mode I play Resto the most), so it’s kind of a bad talent on our way. This wouldn’t impact PVE much, I suppose.
-
Nourish needs to be redesigned or immensely buffed. Or at the bare minimum, being available to Nature’s Swiftness, but even with that IDK if this talent would be a good pick in any game mode. How about… Making Nourish baseline and giving Resto Adaptive Swarm as a node choice with Grove Guardians? Because that would be a really nice boon to Wildstalkers, and even matches the whole catweaving theme. Plus, much like the trees, AS is also a healing spell with a damaging component if used offensively.
-
Master Shapeshifter should swap places with Budding Leaves, just to tidy up the ‘do damage!’ talents close together.
-
Last but not least, Germination should apply both Rejuvs with the same gcd. Raise the mana cost a little to balance it out.
Also, unrelated to the trees, but PLEASE rework Reactive Resin into something similar to what it was in Dragonflight. I think the roots were okay-ish, but the Silence effect was crucial to casters going ham on purges. Rdruids are as good as a carboard box if they don’t have hots rolling and don’t have cooldowns up.
