If you amplify curse of weakness, and use it on a fire mage will it neutralize their combustion?
Just curious about it

Yes
Good thing mages have a spell called remove curse
If for any reason a Warlock could stick an amped Curse of Tongues on a mage (e.g. baiting a dispel with regular Curse of Tongues), that would be even worse than losing Combustion’s guaranteed critical strikes.
I think it would be cool to have Amplify Curse also make the curses undispellable
Maybe bump the CD up to 2 min or something, but I think it would add a lot more potential gameplay options
They’d have to make it where affliction isn’t forced to take rampant afflictions and demon armor every game to open up other options imo.
I tested this during season 1 and Amplified Curse of Weakness did not negate casted spells. It only worked on some standard melee attacks and physical abilities. Did you confirm they changed it so amplified curse of Weakness negates Combustion or other critical strike spells? At the time of testing, it was even odd how it interacted with the Rogue’s 100% critical strike buff. If the ability had shadow damage tied to it, then the rogue was still able to critically strike.
