Hi to the unwashed masses. Quick question. Ever since the patch, I’m getting a notice on the load in screen saying my graphics card driver is out of date. I’ve checked both the windows updates and the graphics card site and they both say I’m up to day.
It isn’t really impairing my ability to play. I’m noticing minor graphic issues (my lava burst on my shaman just doesn’t show up at all, nor my earth quake animations…Do I need to just lower the graphics quality, or just suffer through it? (Seems a bit silly.)
Any help would be great.

On the Menu > System > Graphics -try adjusting the Particle Density setting.
The Particle Density is already at disabled (recommended apparently.) The Graphics Quality overall is only at a 1.
Edit I did actually adjust the graphics higher (went to 4 and it was a whole new world of beauty.) All the effects I was missing are now there in all their glory. It sill shows my drivers as out of date. I just don’t want this to be a concern when it comes time for Shadow Lands to drop.
The requirements for Shadowlands are in effect as of the prepatch 9.0.1. If it works now, it should work at the launch of Shadowlands.

Try changing the “Graphics API” setting to “directx 11 legacy.” That seems to be most people’s problem.
Doesn’t seem to have any effect one way or the other.
