AMD Radeon 7900xt Instant Crash

For the last week I have not been able to load the retail client due to a GPU timeout at launch.

I’ve tried updating drivers, rolling back drivers, forcing DirectX 11, forcing windowed, changing the config, renaming cache folders. I’ve even tried clean installs of WoW and Windows 11.

The only way I’m now able to load the game is disabling my Radeon 7900XT and running with my iGPU at a crushed quality.

World of Warcraft is seemingly the only game I encounter any issue with. I’m hoping for some insight into a resolution. Below is a log for review.

Windows 11 24h2 and a 7900xt here with the 25.6.1 drivers and my game works fine with DX12. I did however notice that when I initially launched the game today, there was a weird thick white border around the edges of the screen, while still showing my browser, that took a few seconds before the game opened up(game music was playing so it wasn’t hardlocked, probably just doing some shader comp stuff or something).

My advice is to disable ALL other background programs using hardware acceleration. This includes your browser(by default, I think all the major browsers will use HA). Make sure ALL apps have overlays disabled in them, this includes keyboard and mouse softwares, rgb softares, Discord, and so on. Oh and also physically disconnect any extra monitors you might have.
