AMD GPU Beta Issue

I logged out and received an update for the beta. Now the game will not load past the character load (in an inn). An AMD error pops up and states there is a render issue.

Same here, driver crashes as soon as it’s done loading. Gotta love being a 9070 XT owner. :face_holding_back_tears:

Shouldn’t have bought an AMD GPU, their drivers are probably the worst i have ever seen of any company ever.

AMD has been solid for several generations now.

Most of WoWs issues in general lately has been with Nvidia hardware so let’s not. Lol

It’s a beta and expected. I never had problems from 5700XT-9700XT at all until betas.

I’ve also been greatly suffering - Driver Timeouts popping up constantly with my 7900XT. I can get into the game but once I enter Deeprun Tram I get driver timeouts, a fatal error and World of Warcraft can’t load up 3D acceleration lol. I really hope this gets super ironed out because I’m hating AMD more than I usually do right now lol

It was working fine for me yesterday. Today the game patched, now I crash every time I log onto my character

Oh wow same for me but running on a macbook pro m5. Was working great last night.

I had to reinstall battle.net and the beta in order to actually login. Now my game is just complete graphic stutter.

9070 XT OC played just fine last night. Patch also broke the game for me. I can log in to character screen but logging into the game causes a hard crash w/ fatal erros.

changing to dx11 from dx12 fixed the issue of letting me log in. I could switch to dx12 again after logging in and everything rendered but if I go to an instance I have to swap back to dx11 again for the assets to render.

Is it crashing your game instance or your whole PC? I turned all settings down to the lowest, windowed, and the game will run for almost a set time ~30min then the whole PC crashes. Every time.

Such an ignorant take when most driver issues lately have been nVidia and their caching structure. The issue is not an AMD one but an interaction made by Blizzard after the update with AMD GPU’s. Prior to the patch things loaded fine and worked fine this new issue only happen due to the recent patch.

Lmao what? Its a beta.. issues like this are normal.

Remember when New World was frying NVIDIA GPUs? That didnt mean Nvidia was bad, its an issue with the game engine coding.

Was fine starting a dwarf but starting a Skyborne caused driver crashes every time I tried to log into it and invisible terrain when it managed to get that far.

Turning down just the Secondary Lighting setting fixed it even on higher overall settings and let me go back to DX12. Seems the wisps were just too strong for the intro video.

I’m using a 7900xt at 5120x1440 @ 144hz in HD. Had no issues at all. Try updating your drivers.
