AMD FX-8350 performance?

Used to have an FX-8350 and i7 2600K. While they were similar in all my productivity, the Intel ran WoW wayyy better.

I’m rebuilding both my old computers for nostalgia and I’m excited to see how this old AMD FX runs WoW after these changes I’ve read about that supposedly take advantage of multiple cores.

Anyone with and old AMD FX or Phenom CPU notice a significant improvement using the new DX12?

It ran worse, Boralus was even more choppy and there was some noticable micro stuttering in the old world even though my fps said it was 60fps, I went back to DX11 Legacy and now its back to normal.

I’m running a machine that I built a while back. It’s an i5 2400 3.1 Ghz, and a GTX 1050 and 14 GB of ram. Running on ultra made BGs a bit choppy, but dialing it back a bit to ultra/high settings did fine. I had an AMD FX in one of my laptops, and it ran WoW okay, but not great. My i5 runs games like Division I smooth as butter. I’m just waiting for the i7 prices to drop a bit, finding one for less than $300 is rare.
