Well it is a patch with no content and forces people to relearn their abilities. I guess a lot are disliking the UI but I knew I would not like it when it was on the PTR and plan on reinstalling my addons.

The UI is terrible, cant find any way I like and the map/bags/menus are all unworkable in any way. The Talents screen’s ui and writing is so small I dont think I even want to force myself to get a migraine trying to read the small font. ( I play on a giant TV as a screen too )
Probably worst pre patch ever iirc. At least I didnt need to pay for the expansion to test these broken features out

I couldn’t move the Target Frame and it was driving me a little bananas. And, I don’t have many bananas to spare!

I also feel like there’s tons of wasted space on the talents screen. I don’t know if it’s just my monitor, but the talent screen itself now takes up tons of room but I feel like it isn’t really used effectively. It just creates a sort of overwhelming feel when looking at the talent trees.

Well, the UI was not great, but I use addons to remedy that so no real harm there. Apart from that, I do like the Talent Tree. Spent what time I had today to look at each one and consider which one I would find more useful considering the content I do and such. Will do more test tomorrow to see what works for me and such.
I mean I know one could just look up a cookie cutter build but I find that takes away the fun of learning what could be useful for this, and what could be useful for that so to speak.
Just my two coppers.
Faction tagging is gone so I’m having a grand ol time.

I haven’t even logged in yet, and am in no hurry to. I’ll let things settle down first.
It was really funny seeing people freak out all day that they couldn’t log in, considering that things were expected to be an absolute mess once the servers did go up.

I’m actually thankful they gave us some down time to figure all this stuff out. Took me a full 20 minutes to figure out how to set up party raid frames again.
That being said, 3 weeks might be a smidge too long but whatevs. I haven’t even started re-doing my weakauras and tellmewhen.
Still sad there’s 3 weeks till Evoker, and the UI is… whatever. I didn’t mind the old one, and the new one is okay. It’s not very intuitive it seems, I haven’t had much issue moving everything back to where it was before, but I can see some people having issues. Some of the stuff not being able to be shrunk sucks, like the minimap, exp bar, cast bar, area skills… Just giant honking wastes of space really.
The talent trees surprised me, though. 60-75% is just boring minor stat increases, but there are some fun options here and there and trying to manipulate the trees in to getting as much of the fun stuff as I can is a little tricky. It’ll feel a lot better at 70 I’m sure to get the goods.

Yeah the UI lacks a lot of functionality that we can’t access until 3rd parties update…
but not only the main part of the UI triggers me… the whole design of it… just seems very… like… flash-gamey if that makes sense. … I kinda like… really don’t like it. I want the old one back lol, addon issues aside. I can’t believe they don’t offer an option to revert back to the old designs. Sure keep the new one default so we follow whatever agenda they’re creating. … but give us the option.

I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. Being new always comes with the period of uncomfortable adjustment, until you get stuff organized to your liking. I do agree that the tiny font on the talent trees is a massive eye strain/headache inducer. They could definitely break those into separate pages and give it more space for better visibility.
Otherwise… same ol’ prepatch experience. Launch of a tid bit here, a tid bit there, expect multiple problems. Download all addon updates, rinse repeat until expansion launch.
With no Dracthyr. We wont be able to get them for almost another month.
All the other hero classes were available with launch of the prepatch.
