I was thinking, it would be very reckless of Blizzard not to give us the Amani and Helves in this expansion. It would be particularly cool to play with the Amani in their new look, considering that we already had contact with them in the Horde, and the Helves, whose flag we saw in Silvermoon. But coming from Blizzard… it’s hard to believe they’ll do anything. I confess that I thought the Haranir were cool, but I didn’t like them that much.
Void Elves and Blood Elves already provide everything a high elf would. There’s no reason to add a third identical race just so its named exactly what you want it named.
I’m not saying this because of the name, but because of playing helf pala in ally, or releasing paladin for velf.
Already thought it would be easier to craft a new forest/frost troll variant on a orc model.
Amani Tribe joining the horde? Would be as likely as the Frostmane Tribe joining the alliance.
Same coukd be said for amani trolls really. Between Zandalari and Darkspear we have most trolls covered. Give us some customizations for more muscle and skin tones and we are all good.
Id rather races that are bit more unique get added than blood elf skin 35 and troll skin 15.
Amani would, imo, be fine as extra customization for base trolls.
the Helves, whose flag we saw in Silvermoon
The blood elves still used that teal color in BC and still have blue and green in their symbolism and outfits.
High Elves already exist on both sides and after 2 days the crashouts are a bit sad.
Just add the Paladin option (because they already showed a Void elf paladin in pre-patch) and its basically game, set, match.
We already have high elves
We don’t need a 3rd race of the same type of elf.
Go make a void elf with fair skin and blue eyes.
We just got a third night elf recolored race. And last exp we got our third identical dwarf race. Your point is invalid.
I want Velf Paladin.
I think most people would argue that Earthen are kinda mid for an AR. But for Harronir are too different from NE to not be an allied race (they also get shamans, which NE dont have).
Realistically, we have not seen anything from high elves that would be different enough from a void elf using the helf customizations to validate them being an allied race at this point in time.
God I hope Blizzard completely butchers the High Elf lore in such a way that there is no reconcilable way for High Elves to ever exist in any way, shape or form, past, present or future, so that these threads finally stop.
They use a mix of elf and troll body elements and the animalistic aspect is cool though
Only the men use an actual nelf body and I think it’s like the zandalari situation where it’s distinct skeletons.
it will never stop, never
What are you going to do when Vereesa decides to come home, ask for the provisional high elves?
Yeah where the new actual races with different models.
Sethrak, ogres, or I forgot the tiger people, Vikruls.
Here to also hoping they don’t pull a Nightborne release ever again for any of the new sub races, cause man was that a downright failure. Looked like they were half finished, hell to this day they still look bad.
These are the worgen model, not a new rig so they technically wouldnt be what your looking for.
Personally idc if it shares a model or rig, i just want to play different races. Harronir are really good in my opinion, and they were in my top 5 wanted races.
The only race you mentioned that could happen is Vrykule and thats still unlikely. Their just big humans.
Sethrak would have transmog just as limited, if not more, than Dracthyr and we all see how much people complain about that for dracthyr. Id personally be disappointed if they got added.
Races like Mogu, Jinyu (and ankoan), the Deer people from SL (one day ill learn the race name), ogres, etc… are much more interesting to me.
Earthen and Haranir use the dwarf and night elf animation skeletons.
They are not the exact same model like High Elves would be.
Move on.
Blood Elves are high elves.
There is no high elf allied race.
There is no such a thing.
