You can use marks to buy boots and the helm which are insanely decent purples with a lot of survivability. You can buy a bunch of purple offpieces with the honor that all have hit on it. Is it even worth really doing heroics? I got into a 10 man nax and got a purple wep and ring already and I feel like I’m almost gonna be 80% purples after 1 day at 80.

I mean WG is only up every 3 hours and you need to actually win them to get marks vs. Heroics that you can spam run daily for badges and pre-raid BiS along with blues to gear out.
If you can find someone that will take a fresh 80 with no gear to a Naxx then you’re in a GDKP or a very forgiving guild.

I did 10 man with basic blues/greens, won a wep and ring, I did fine on dps and we cleared it. wiped a few times but nothing I caused.

Lucky you, not a lot of people are gonna be able to get into groups like that and walk away with pieces lol. Also if you’re doing decent DPS with greens and blues then that raid’s overall DPS must be garbage.
Either way congrats on the loot but your lucky story isn’t the norm, people have to typically grind it out the normal way.
Even WG takes a while when you constantly lose, the honor discount is nice though and you can get lucky in VoA but all of it is RNG.
Sorry but I’m not seeing it, I’m in like 70% purples now from pvp and raids and I dinged yesterday. Did os 10/25, voa 10/25. and nax 10. Will be doing naxx 25 tonight.
