Am I to believe all Racial Leaders have no Protection?

I mean to be fair, whenever Sylvanas is involved Blizzard takes many liberties with logic, pacing, or common decency to other characters who aren’t her personal pedestal Nathanos.
But you’re telling me that she could just send a couple Dark Kyrians or whtv into the heart of multiple capital cities and kidnap the most important person there. Stormwind and Orgrimmar, which mind you, houses many of the Magni Voice CHAMPIONS of Azeroth who have defeated countless impossible forces before, city guards (Including the obviously forgotten Air Guard that patrols capital cities for this cinematic).
As faction leaders they should also possess some form of personal bodyguard(s) not to mention their own combative abilities.

Also, what was with the reactions of those who were around when we actually saw someone get kidnapped? I hadn’t known the circumstance before but I assumed Anduin did something foolish like try to track Sylvanas himself into Northrend or something because he will do stuff like that. But instead…

Greymane who to save his wife and many Kaldorei will throw himself into deadly situations in a Worgen Frenzy, and in one of his novels also nearly drowned trying to save his people during the sail from Gilneas.
That man…Simply lets Anduin go with a half-hearted “Oh no you’re just out of my reach. Too bad I can’t turn into some inhuman monster with super strength, speed, and agility…SYLVANAAAAASSSSS!!!”

Then Anduin who is so prone to using the Light for almost all scenarios sees Dark magics (that he saw Saurfang get obliterated by at Orgrimmar with) and he reaches for his sword??

Final strange thing. Bolvar straight up says that her intent is to “break all who opposed her,” have we forgotten the history to Greymane and Sylvanas? Like in BFA sure Anduin was in charge and a key role to her opposition…but Greymane has ALWAYS opposed her. Not to mention he attacked her in Stormheim and ruined whatever plan was coming from that.

But hes just left to his own devices? Are these Dark Kyrians crows? Did they simply pass over him because Anduin is golden and shiny and they hadn’t taken interest in him? Lucky for Turalyon that he wasn’t nearby or any Lightforged I guess…

Sarcasm aside it would be nice to get a better approach to this setup then what I just witnessed in Shadowlands: Dark Abduction.

I continue to feel like all characters in the Warcraft universe are losing agency just so everything fits into:

Warcraft: The Story of Sylvanas plus some other insignificant filth.

Probably the dumbest, laziest cinematic I can remember

Tbh I hope she just gets killed off or ends up being trapped in the Shadowlands forever either as a prisoner in place of the Jailer or as a punishment.

I’d be kind of disappointed if she gets a redemption arc and was “good all along !!” with some stupid soul-split explanation like Uther’s Afterlives cinematic and remains the new Queen of the Shadowlands or some crap

But I see it happening bc the writers are in love with her

i guess anduinn and genn should have been more prepared

Technically the jailor ultimately was the reason she was turned into a banshee. I can see this entire expansion ultimately being about her double crossing the jailor and outsmarting even the nathrazeme for the sake of plot twists. The uther we see in blue people land is his human imperfections that he shed, and the light literally saves his soul, while also turning him lightforged in the process (probably).

Shall we start building a statue of her now? How will anyone know she became the jailer without a statue. I think Dalaran might have some space

It is pretty hilarious that the chains from the Maw Valkyr things fire down and Genn does nothing. Omg, Genn = secret dreadlord!?

She can be milked for anima right next to bessy as punishment after we smoosh her.

Sexual pun intended … mmmmmmmooooooooo.

Or she tries to backstab the jailer only for him to backstab her first.

Yep it made no sense that the leaders where so unguarded. Edpecially anduin being the youngest/weakest one.

(Observation): Well, Anduin is like a second son to Greymane, so losing another son to Sylvanas would certainly be a way to torture him.

All the more reason its dum that gen just stood there. What was he destracted by a squirrel or something?

Sylvie can kidnap leaders but it needs to be believable. The complete lack of defenses is really really dum.

You must have forgotten the beam of friendship killing nzoth then.

I think it’s a bit silly that, despite knowing Sylvanas was out in the world doing god only knows what, they didn’t take any precautions to protect themselves or their people. That’s some Game of Thrones season 8 level writing right there.

Carebear STARE!!!

I thought I heard Genn being attacked by Sylvanas the other day

However when I ran to his aid, he had simply dropped the ice cream cone he bought for Anduin

Plot demands mate, plot demands.

Imagine if it was an actual event and we try to fend off sylvanas forces to save our leaders , but nah, yeeted by a couple of evil birds.

I think it’s more that nobody knows much of anything about the Shadowlands, so the attack was very unexpected.

The end of the cinematic came off as a little silly, but the characters haven’t been expecting this for months like we have.

We’ll see what the pre-patch event is like.
