Am i the only one?

Who doesn’t watch Twitch streams and streamers at all because my net is so slow that majority of time it keeps loading loading and loading and doesn’t run xD

I just don’t watch streamers because the idea of watching someone play a game I could play just as effectively blows my mind. These darn youngsters and their hobbies make no sense!

Just turned on Asmongolds stream… he is the highest viewer count right now and it was just his chat spamming “pog” over and over again

I don’t watch any of them because watching games isn’t fun for me.

That’s just them creating content.

What’s “pog”? Like the game from the late 90s?

Lol i wonder how these streamers read those chats and respond, i mean they come so fast. So many people typing at same time

I have a few smaller streamers I watch, non of them are insufferable as Asmongold. It isn’t so much about watching them play games, honestly the guys I watch are entertaining. I think of it as just as if you were hanging out with a friend, them playing a game while you just chill.

YouTube for Life!! xD, Since my net runs that smoothly

Exactly… the only streams i’ve ever been on where i’ve had an actual 1v1 conversation with the person streaming were sub 500 viewer counts…

Bahjeera comes to mind… that dude literally responded to everything I would type to him AND he was working out at the time.

I prefer edited vods that are less interrupting with notifications but Its mainly as background noise

I like watching streams of games where the game ends up taking a ton of skill like SC2, and I can learn from watching. I can’t really learn a whole lot from watching someone quest in WoW so nope, don’t watch

I wish they had given access to Wowhobbs and madseason show, i love watching these two’s videos.

haha he is kind of cool that way.

I once posted in one of his work out streams “hmmm a bunch of dudes on the internet staring at a live stream of another dude in a muscle shirt lifting weights”

and he laughed at the comment before his mods deleted it and muted me.

At least he has a bit of a self-aware sense of humor.

POG

Asmongold made azeroth great again

I like him, he keeps a level head even when people are obviously trying to troll him. When I was watching his stream about a month ago people were asking whether he preferred BFA or classic and he basically said “I enjoy both and I am going to play both”

I don’t understand what this means.

I think he does have the tendency to shill to a degree for Blizzard, but its hard to say I wouldnt be tempted to myself if I were a streamer with 500 subs. He kind of depends on Blizzard and is probably a bit scared of biting the hand that feeds him.

Thats different than someone like Soda with 20k viewers who is really more in control and can do what he wants.

So I dont hold it against him, although I think he would be better off in the long run just speaking his mind at times.

*edit I meant 500 avg viewers. I am sure he has more subs than that

It’s a Twitch thing. It’s usually used as an outburst of excitement, surprise, or shock. It’s from some dude and there’s probably a reason that it’s PogChamp (often shortened to Pog), but I don’t know it.

Long story short, they’re acting excited or surprised. Unless they’re being ironic, and then they’re making fun of it. People are complicated and they make up complicated and silly social practices.

I imagine this is how Aliens would feel if they watched us doing stuff.

“Why do they attack each others ribs and stomachs?”

‘I do not know. Why do they laugh when this occurs?’

“Even stranger still, they’ll beg for it to stop, but laugh the entire time. Some of them even get so angry they’ll hit the offender, even while laughing.”

‘How absurd!’

From an Alien’s point of view, we are very stupid people.

So blizzard is choosing a platform to advertise its game that is mainly used by out of work 15 - 30 year olds who have made up their own way of saying “thats funny” or “nice job”?
