Ferals don’t get stealth until level 17 and it feels really bad. I can’t imagine how many new people will try feral and hate it because not being able to stealth feels so clunky. It’s not at all like the old spec fantasy.
Rogues get stealth at level 3! Can you imagine playing a rogue for 16 levels without being able to use the stealth mechanic at all? I know we’re close to launch, but this can’t be that hard to fix.

That seems pretty high to get stealth.

Until classes were revamped you didn’t get Cat Form and Prowl until 20. And you didn’t move at normal speed. Rogues have more to do in stealth than druids and always have over the years.

Meh, doesn’t really bother me. And Rogues should get stealth sooner and have a better stealth. That’s their thing.
For Feral, what are the fun bits we can do from stealth? Rake stun - don’t get that until 39 anyway. Wild Charge daze - don’t get that until 25. Shred extra damage upgrades - don’t get that until 36 and 54.
Not to mention level 17 is going to fly by with new leveling.

I don’t know exactly how the new starting leveling works, but for Druid Balance is your starting spec anyway until level 10 when you can change specs. So you can think of it more as you don’t have access to stealth for 7 levels, rather than 17 (since stealth is overwhelmingly more of a focus for Feral than the other specs).
Also, at least before, Assassination rogues didn’t get Fan of Knives until 60+ so it could always be worse. Lol

Beforehand you didnt even get cat form until 20. I think 17 is reasonable due to how fast you level.

Kittens need to learn how to stalk, unlike thugs and pickpocketers who are born with talent for thieving.

Druids currently get prowl at 16.

Rogues “class mechanic” if you can call it that is stealth and interactions involving stealth. The majority of their kit is built around it.
Compared to Druids, our “class mechanic” is shapeshifting. Stealth is a secondary thing.

I’d prefer they spent their time making it even worth levelling a feral druid.

Not really. You’ve got your opener from stealth and that’s pretty much it for Outlaw.
Stealth and shapeshifting are two entirely different things and I don’t really think you can compare them. Besides, for PvE you don’t really want to be shapeshifting in combat other than breaking the occasional snare or absorbing damage in bear form, for example.

Outlaw still has things like vanish and then multiple utility spells that require you to be in stealth. There’s also 2 other specs that heavily involved using stealth.
Shapeshifting is still the Druid mechanic. Yea you don’t usually shapeshift mid combat, but it’s still what the entire class is based on. Compare this to stealth which is only a portion of what one of the specs focuses on and you can see why Stealth is acquired later than Rogues.

You still have utility from stealth via rake stun. And now we have berserk/incarnation which treats your abilities as if you’re stealthed.
I do agree rogue has more, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying stealth is a secondary thing for druid (at least for Feral).

Druids can tank, melee, heal, range dps. Rogues only have melee and stealth. Rogues have to have it, druids have a billion alternatives.
