i honestly think prepatch is really fun,
do some story quests, collect pet and toy, level up alts, zombie event,
kill cuckanos, its just so much fun,
and not to mention in icecrown u can just kill so many undead and it feels rewarding imo
keep in mind that this is just 2 weeks…
the only thing lacking i would say,if i had to, was no new TMOG set,but personally i havnt collected all the weapons anyway so it still feels fresh
ive found people will find a way to s#it on blizz no matter what they do.
at this point if blizzard hands out a million dollars to everyone
someone will be on the forums either saying it needs to be 1.5 million
or that one million is too much pls nerf

I think the people who are complaining are the ones no-lifing the event. Well guess what, it wasn’t meant to be played that way. 20 minutes is plenty of time to get a daily or two out of the way. You’ll have time for two or three rares before you’re done with them. Then I switch character. But these people are doing nothing else than camping rares. Of course that’s boring.

i no-life this stuff personally. and a true no lifer would have enough alts to keep him occupied.
no lifers dont get to complain,we literally give everything for this game lol we cant be taken seriously
There are a fair number of players who desire WoW to fill up their entire allotted time for a hobby.
And not just be a video game that isn’t meant to be played more then maybe 2-3 hours a few days a week.

I don’t find camping the bosses super fun but I don’t have any complaints? I largely didn’t play my druid during BFA and it’s nice to get some catch up upgrades and I’m able to finish dailies or afk for 15 minutes in between spawns and get other things done.

There’s only two weeks of this event, the Alliance sets are a different coloration, the Horde sets have a few differences, there’s a very rare item that drops from rares, as well.
And the event is only two weeks.
If it wasn’t meant to be played that way, Blizz should have done transmog tokens like they did for Legion and not had rares spawn once every 6 hours and 40 minutes. For only two weeks.

I just got the cloak hopefully for the last time on my last alt. I still have to wrap it up, but I am so not motivated. Grinding 25 somethings in the jousting arena to turn into a single piece of currency that I then need 15 for a single piece is kind of a joke though, why didn’t they just list it as 375 of the first currency? Because you’d know up front they are wasting your time, of course. None of this gear will mean jack in two weeks, they should be literally giving it away.

Its not a waste of time. Regular mobs can drop both qualities of stones.
If you want to get all of the mogs as fast as possible, you farm trash in between rares to gather currency faster.
Also, you don’t have to farm just around the jousting arena. You can get stones from mobs throughout the zone.

Nope i’m enjoying it. I wish there were more dailies to do between world boss spawns but otherwise its good. I’m on character 3 already for the gear.

Not only people on my server but the people in random groups I join.
“Do some story quests, collect pet and toy, kill cuckanos” is all one-off stuff that takes maybe a collective 45 minutes - 1 hour.
The “level up alts” bit is technically prepatch, but realistically it’s just a shadowlands system, the actual prepatch EVENT (which just went live Tuesday) is what people are unhappy with.
I haven’t seen anything about the zombie event though. Is that even live? Is it Warmode only? I know it was supposedly heavily gutted after complaints from the PTR/Elsewhere, but I haven’t seen anything about it at all in-game yet.
I would love it if they had some stuff like limited but also one of a kind in it which there is only 2 things that im aware of even close to it i don’t really need gear that will be replaced in 2 weeks.
No, I’m having a great time with it. Granted, I’m only doing it on 2 characters - 1 main and 1 alt - but I’m enjoying it a great deal.
I mean, I’m digging just hopping on my death knight (the aforementioned alt), zooming around Icecrown, and just murdering scourge after scourge after scourge. I keep flying up to the Shadow Vault, slaying everything there, thinking, “I already cleaned this place out once for the Ebon Blade, I can do it again!”

I am not a fan of scavenger hunt style play. Travel long distance to several places. Blah. I am a point A to point B kind of guy myself. And then
SPOILER ALERT
The end at the Argent Tournament place seemed very nebulous to me. Other people have mentioned killing Nathanos Blightcaller.
I didn’t get to do that because that never showed up in my quest log. I have no idea how to get that quest. Is it one of the dailies?
For me the quest chain ended unceremoniously with no audio or visual cues that I was finished and only the option to pick up some daily quests. So I just sort of left the place and did other stuff
I’m complaining because I had leveled a new alt I intended to be a main and have wasted almost three hours on this guy only to receive two gear upgrades (from scourgestones) and a weapon from EPL.
That’s not including the leveling process. So I’m probably around 10 hours wasted whereas I could’ve spent more time levelling ARs or chasing achievements on other chars.

I don’t think you are the only one at all. I enjoy it, as do a lot of other folks for what it is, rather than what it could have been.
