There might not be repercussions from Blizzard, but there absolutely would be repercussions from the server community if players abused the maser looter system or if players abused the loot trading system.
That said, I agree that Classic would be better without loot trading.
I can do this far more effectively with master looter since it means the other person will have a 0% chance at the item and all I have do is say “oops I clicked the wrong person” and its just as suspect free. The person who got the loot will say he will file a ticket… but we will just stand there for a few min while the ticket doesnt get filed and we all move on because everyone knows GM’s dont respond instantly.
The only place where loot trading could actually do something new would be if a group gets several pieces of loot usefull to 2 players, the first piece goes to person 1, while the second piece which would have gone person 2 except that he already has said piece could now trade it to person 1 for the first piece so both have an upgrade instead of one person having to take both pieces. Oh the horror, we must certainly prevent such instances of more even loot distribution.
