I mean, he was kinda thrown into hell without being judged. Granted, he probably would have ended up there anyway.
But still, almost feel bad about it.

We should feel bad for Arthas. His story was a tragedy. He set out to do good things and was corrupted.
I’ve always felt bad for him.
Its debatable that he was even a bad guy in the first place considering he weilds a corrupting weapon and all.
I would have liked to know where he would have actually ended up. I get the feeling its not the maw because if it was, then sending him there themselves is kinda pointless
He was only in control up to the point he touched Frostmourne, everything after that point was no longer him.
Now that we know he was cast into the maw without being judged, I think its safe to assume that his soul could be reformed in Revendreth, a lot of his misdeeds were due to corruption and being controlled essentially.
Arthas? Kind of. I mean, he was a douche.
The Lich King? Nope
I wonder if Arthas being casted into the maw is what broke The Shadowlands.
I can already see the memes of that scene, with old Blizz being cast away by Kotick.
Probably not.
What broke the Shadowlands is the fact that the Arbiter was turned off.
So now there’s no judgment and all souls are going to the Maw by default.
The mystery is who turned the Arbiter off and how do you turn her back on again.
Hello, Ner’zul anyone?
The Arbitor was broken when Genn Greymane smashed Sylvanas’ lantern.
For some reason that seemed strange to have Uther do that
Kinda messed with my image of him as a tragic father figure
Is that confirmed?
Phrasing.
he’s like the evil revan from one of swtors expansions his light soul went into the sword and the sullied angry part went into the shadowlands to be petty and angry
I’m pretty Uther has been damaged by frostmourne, the one you see in the cinematic isn’t the uther you know.
I’m sure several people will try to figure it out.
No I don’t think so, Its really just an example of why the Kyrians need you to forget who you are and serve your true purpose as a ascendant, if every ascendant could remember who did them wrong etc, they’d pull an Uther and toss the souls they don’t like into the maw instead of bringing them to the arbiter. Now Arthas is condemned to an eternity of torment when his true soul may have not been entirely to blame.
No but if one knows how to pick up clues and put the pieces together, like a jigsaw puzzle, one might come to this conclusion.
Do some sleuthing.
I think you’re supposed to feel bad for uther.
in a way, he went down the same path as arthas, in his pursuit of vengeance he lost who he was.
Arthas forsook his people for the power to kill malganis
uther forsook justice for the power to have vengeance on arthas.
