I guess not everyone will get the title, but man, there are SO many 40k refrenses this expansion I don’t see how you could miss it. Which is odd, cause Warhammer is very, very jealous over there copyrights.
You should research which game the original Warcraft took a lot of concepts from. The answer will surprise you.
its okay, Warhammer ripped off WoW when they made fantasy, its only fair Blizzard can do the same
There are some mild similarities, but not really outright references. Machine-Speakers aren’t quite like the Mechanicus, the Arathi Emperor doesn’t really seem like the Emperor of Man to me. I can’t really think of any other similarities.
They would need a quest where you have to drop thousands of gold for some figurines.
Because the arathi have an emperor? Is that all?
What? Warhammer Fantasy was around a long time before Warcraft.
We can only hope he’s as cool as the Emperor of Man.
(issa joke)
I don’t like it. But I’ll allow it.
I love Warhammer Fantasy, blood bowl, 40k, and AoS.
So I’m pretty happy with them. The machine speakers and arathi made me think of Warhammer too. I just hope when we eventually meet the real location of the Arathi and their Emperor ,they don’t villain bat them and make us kill them.
I was sort of hoping the kobolds would go the Skaven route as they are my favorite fantasy race.
I remember seeing some figures WAY back in 1987-88ish at an old hobby store. Think they were around $29.99 for one at that time. Parents said nope, and got me one of those flimsy wood and rubber band propeller planes for like a buck fifty in stead lol.
Yeah I found this and Brinthe specifically to be very derivative of 40k.
Not that I hate it. But it’s obvious.
Stares at rumble…
Pfffft the only reason that husk of a corpse is even relevant is because of the greatness that is Da Orks!
Disagree, skaven best! even if they don’t get updated for like, 10 years
40k is cool. Love the goth space metal theme. I just don’t really care for tabletop games. I’ll probably get space marine 2 eventually. Played the first one when it released.
Just waiting on my Squat revival…
Honestly after the success of Deep Rock Galactic, I’m surprised they didn’t do a revival or a new set for Squats.
Warhammer fantasy is infinitely cooler than 40k
