Wait til you get there fight the mobs to find it’s killed then they respawn.nice fun there.
Wowhead database search engine should be in the game by now.

Find the cave entrance. Mark it with my own comment and icon. And next time. Ez mode.

They should also move your character for you, do your rotation for you, decide what items to equip for you, even make your own transmog for you.

I am starting to feel really old. Remember when you had to explore and experiment in video games? Games today are now made with giant arrows pointing to exactly where you need to go and signs saying exactly what you need to do. It is frustrating watching people play old games on Twitch. Several of them rarely explore, rarely experiment with items and abilities, rarely talk to NPCs, and skip dialogue. They then complain that they have no idea what to do and criticize the game for being designed poorly because of their own incompetence.

Let us not forget the memory hog and input lag hog of addon called quest helper.
Just take a cycle, fly around and locate all the various tunnel entrances. It’s not like they move…

I used to run WoW windowed with a sidebar so I could do quest lookups without having to tab out, since I couldn’t afford 2 monitors. The first time I got a quest that had the little “go this way 800ft” arrow, and when I got there the item was glowing? It was a really weird feeling.
In before there is a Chat GPT addon to help us find stuff in the game
I used Questhelper back in the day. Was great to have all the notes and comments right there with the quest. Told you where to find things and how to kill/do it. Definitely used some memory but I never had a problem with lag. It did cause major lag on my friends system though. Would enjoy something similar that is optimized better though.
Its absolutely pathetic! Specially the ones where you need to go through 10 thousand elite mobs to get to 2 of the rares!
Yea this a no. Spending 18 hours a day camping rares is not playing a game.

Who is doing that?
When you do find the boss, it’s usually being killed by a group of horde anyways.
There is an answer to your problem called Add-on and handynotes and its accessories are your solution. have a good day. 
Y’know, what’s weird is: Legion rare elites on the Broken Shore seem to do this? The big map only displays one icon, but the minimap will show two sometimes for the same elite - with one of them usually being the entrance to a cave or pocket that they lurk in, helping guide you towards the elite itself.
Not sure if it’s always been there, but I couldn’t help but note it more often this week than I have in the past since I started playing - particularly because they clearly seem able to provide this visual functionality to the minimap, yet chose not to do so with the rares in the Reach.
I just… why?
