Am I paying to play my character or paying for you to play my character Blizzard?

I can handle obvious mistakes and obvious bad design ideas you eventually fix, but I will never accept your indefensible hijacking of my quest log where you force me to take quests I don’t want simply by talking to the NPC and removing my ability to delete the quest from MY quest log.

I pay, I choose, or I won’t pay. It’s that simple. It’s my game experience, I choose how that experience unfolds and what quests I choose to do. Make everything is optional, everything. Understand? If you’re making choices for us about anything (like quests or what we can and can’t delete from our inventory and mail) then you’ve cross the line and failed. Make your own character, stop playing mine.

You are paying for access.

Certainly annoying but your reaction seems a bit over the top.

That said to each their own.

What do you think that means? Access to make a character i have no control over? You think anyone is going to pay for that? Wake up.

(Lets out a big yawn)

Yes, you’re right. So, stop overthinking. Just play and have some fun.

This entire experience is borrowed.

So this is what yelling in text looks like

sad thing is, it actually isn’t our character. it’s their character and we are paying them to allow us to borrow that virtual piece of data to access their world of warcraft.

it’s all under their TOS.

My point is if I pay shouldn’t i get to choose my experience? You seem to act like having the right to choose your own quests taken away is not a bad thing.

No, you shouldn’t. That’s not how games work. That’s just how preteen temper tantrums work.

The quests are just the basic adventurer/hero storyline. You can just do them for XP like most players do, and not act like this is your character’s essence. What is your character all about? Do you have a different lifestyle in mind?

Let’s say you don’t wanna be a hero. Fine. Just blow through anything that gives you XP and act however you want.

The quests don’t control what you say and how you act around other people.

Who owns the data is not the issue at all, the issue is I’m paying to play a character and the whole point of MMO’s is to be free to play how you want. Free will. Blizzard is taking that away. If they are going to choose what quests my character is going to do then it’s not my character. So who would pay for Blizzard to play your character?

Dude, you were cursed with a geas and must complete the task. Get over it.

Sylvanás nothing you have typed since the start of this has anything to do with my point. I want to choose what quests I do, not Blizzard. How is that very simple concept beyond you?

So what quest are you on about? The callings will time out and vanish?

I view these quests as a litmus test for the players. The feature alone reveals a trove of data:
Who can ignore the quests once logged? Who will complete them? Who will simply ignore the quest giver? Who will write a morning rage post on the forums about it?

Things like that. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

No, you are paying to access the game servers. Nothing more, nothing less.

And you all argue this, instead if simply agreeing that we should have the right to delete any quest. I’m kind of shocked you don’t agree having our right to choose what’s in our quest long is a fundamental right of any player.

The only quest I know of that you cannot delete or abandon is the pet battle ones…

You don’t have rights in this game.
