So I bought the special permanent upgrades for the Maw that I am pretty sure said assassins and Mawsworn can’t come after me or something along those lines. Did I read it wrong or misremember because I don’t think it did anything.
There was a hotfix in which you need to be jumping through a flaming hoop whilst rubbing your stomach and head counterclockwise and clockwise respectively whilst humming Katy Perry’s ‘Hummingbird Heartbeat’ – in order for it to take effect.

Sounds legit.
It doesn’t do what people think it does. It only removes the debuff you get when assassin and abductors spawn. It does not keep them from spawning.

It said it prevents Mawsworn Assassins’ mark of the jailer debuff.
Assassins and abductors would debuff you with a short dot that also increased your eye of the jailer total. That upgrade makes you immune to it.

and theres the problem… its not well worded, but all it does is prevent the DEBUFF that you normally get when they spawn, not stop the spawning entirely.
which is actually a good thing, since there are achievements linked to killing enough of the assassins and the abductors. if it stopped the spawning entirely, it would make those achievements virtually impossible (you would need to rely on being in the right place at the right time when someone without the upgrade gets hit by them)
