Am I missing something or is MW POG AF?

So I’ve been on the beta running dungeons and MW has been very fun. I’m doing tank damage, I notice I am more actively doing damage with great emergency buttons. RM is almost always out on all targets, so a vivify hit is a strong aoe heal. TFT+EF is a good aoe heal. I often can do great damage with Imp TFT by getting 3 RSK in a row. Casting EvM+Zen pulse is a good heal and damage too. We have our aoe stun and interrupt, good utility and great damage.

This feels too good to be true!

I don’t know what POG means but I’d expect some of the numbers to get tuned. Keep in mind Blizz is currently in the tuning phase, and most if not all classes are likely going to change numbers wise once DF goes live.

I think MW is the most fun healer on beta but tuning hasn’t begun so a lot could change in the next few weeks. But yea, it’s POG.

It’s something the kids say now days I think

Just hoping I can do some damage in DF.

Shhhhhh!!!

Nothing to see here, Blizzard. MW is undertuned as usual. Shucks!

I thought Pog was short for POTG, play of the game, because it started popping up around Overwatch

Everyone is POG in a heroic dungeon. Get back to us after you’ve done some +18s in the beta.

These posts make me laugh. It’s like that guy in the beta forums arguing that monks bring utility.

I’ve never once had a keyholder comment “sorry guys it might take a bit to fill the group, I’m really waiting for someone with Ring of Peace to apply.”

You know darn well the only utility that matters is BR and lust. And lately, PI. We have none of these. Which means… we don’t bring utility.

This is a pretty ignorant take – honestly can’t tell if it’s bait or not.

It isn’t bait at all. There is nothing special about our utility. Our utility is we have crowd control, the same as everyone else. Syndrome said it best: “When everyone is super, no one is.”

Then compare our utility to the other monk specs. They get the same utility, and they actually are competitive with the other tanks and DPS. Not the case with mistweavers vs. other healers. There’s the meta healers, then there’s resto druids, then there’s ten feet of crap, and then there’s us. We’re down here in the basement playing scrabble with holy pallies and the disc priests.

Lol that scrabble comment

Faeline Stomp allowing TP and BK cleaves for most offensive skills alone will likely lead to relatively more DPS compared to SL. Unless it’s single target I suppose.

Other offensive skills got damage increases last tuning.

Why is everyone so lazy and use acronyms?

What Is POG?

THIS has to be millenial term

Had to google it. Millenials are around 30 these days. Pretty sure that’s more a new thing from the following gen :man_shrugging:

in Hawaii, POG is a juice blend of Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava

To me it means ‘person other than grunt’

Spent some time pugging 10’s this weekend on healers.

Found MW fun and strong but having to be in melee in some groups and dungeons was a reeeaaaaaaal pain.

Also quite a few dungeons where Vivify out-healed my Teachings overall by just using the instant cast proc and on bosses where mechanics meant I couldn’t be in melee even though I was Fistweaving 90% of the time. 500 Globals on damaging abilites that heal to do less overall healing than ~70 Vivifies just because most of the time Fistweaving healing is huge overkill on packs but not powerful enough on single targets.

Currently, Millenials are ages 28-42, this is a Gen Z term.

To be fair, that is what everyone said beginning of SL too… and hpals were the definite meta as soon as people got used to it. So I’m really not worried in the slighest of being melee :man_shrugging:

Wait… what? This is the Monk forum, sir!
