Am I missing something for dungeons?

I leveled, I chose a timeline, but only Freehold appears in my dungeon finder… did I do something wrong? or is this just how it is? I even changed timelines twice and it never offered anything more than that one. Is it my level? Does Chromie Time just hate me? or what?

During BfA, you got the dungeons opening up at different levels between 111 and 120, and for Alliance, Freehold is the first one.

I suppose it could be the same thing with Chromie Time where as you level, more dungeons become available

That makes sense, I guess, but since I selected a timeline, shouldn’t it be showing a dungeon/s from that timeline rather than Freehold? It honestly confuses me… my other characters don’t seem to have this issue… though a few of them are higher level, so I can’t really rule that out.

Different dungeons also require different ilvl. So you may qualify level wise but if your gear is too low, you won’t be able to go in.

That’s not even the issue, the issue is no other dungeons show up on my dungeon finder other than Freehold, even after choosing a timeline, aren’t at least some supposed to be there from the timeline chosen?

Same thing happened to me today… Its a stupid system. Did you actually talk to Chromie or did you just use the board? I think you actually have to talk to Chromie. I talked to Chromie an hour after selecting Legion on the board and everything opened up for Legion dungeons.

I went to Chromie, I even changed timelines twice, not even in another timeline did it show anything but Freehold on the list.

Yea its dumb… Not sure what to tell you. I even opened a CS thread that nobody replied to until I figured it out.

From what I understand, the default is to queue you for a dungeon consistent with your timeline selection (so Wrath dungeons for Wrath, etc.), but after a certain amount of time in the queue, it will put you into any potential dungeon from any timeline.

I suppose since many people are going through BfA, maybe there aren’t enough in your timeline so you end up in Freehold? This assumes you are queueing for a random dungeon.

Or are you saying that when you go to chose a specific dungeon, that Freehold is the only one available? I suppose they could limit it to the most popular ones being run, again because that’s where the people are.

Who knows, there are so many things that keep coming up since the pre-patch that I’m just treating everything from last week and this week as a beta experience, so that means things don’t work, are wonky, or just plain don’t make sense because they are still working on getting stuff fixed, debugged, balanced, and properly implemented.

Sure would be nice, though, if there was some good communication about these sort of issues where they actually tell us whether things are bugged, temporarily altered for some reason, or are working as intended (preferably with a little explanation of why it is the way it is).

That’s what they’re saying. Same thing happened to me. The only dungeon available is Freehold, no random no nothing.

I went to Chromie, chose Draenor, have been doing Draenor things, went to dungeon finder to que up, Freehold is the only thing available to choose from, well, that and the Horseman at the moment, but that doesn’t matter at the moment, there isn’t even a Random Draenor Dungeon option for me.

My Goblin Shaman also chose Draenor, but she has the dungeons available, which is what makes things weirder for me…

Well, in that case, just assume we are in a big beta that is in a perpetual state of flux and so things may not make sense, at least for a while.

In my case I didn’t talk to Chromie first and that fixed it… OP did talk to Chromie, its weird… Beta for sure, who knows. /shrug

Make sure you go to Chromie and choose “Return to current timeline”. It’s a choice you get before the timeline menu.

Also, as you level, new dungeons open up. That’s how current BFA is.

sounds buggy.
If you can actually choose an expansion with Chromie that expansions dungeons should at least show up on in the finder list

I did do that too, I was in Draenor, nothing but Freehold, changed to Legion, Freehold, returned to current, well, yeah, Freehold, back to Draenor, Freehold.

And they do, on every character I have besides this one… which is weird…

Try posting in the bug forums and see if anyone there can help or confirm it is a bug.

Also, did you do the normal stuff, like /reload your UI and if that doesn’t work, completely log out and shut down the game, then restart it? Could just be a glitch in the WoWMatrix and if so, those things can help.

Also, have you installed any new addons? Recently updated any addons? Have you tried disabling all addons?

I switched to the timeline I wanted and then logged out and back in. Reloading didn’t work but relogging did.

i’m level 30 and questing in outland but only have BFA dungeons available. Kind of makes it hard to do the dungeon quests for the dungeons I need to do.

More unlock as you advance past level 20, 25, 30, and 35
