I came back to WoW a few months ago after a long break. With jewelcrafting I dumped all my knowledge into rings. I am capped out and have 44% inspiration with the inspired world buff, which I am told is absolute maximum. I use a 3* polishing cloth. It doesn’t proc the first time and people will yell at me claiming I scammed them. I’ve tried explaining it just didn’t proc and to resend, no tip or mats required.
Is that all I can do? Can I not just have the option to recraft until it procs on the same order?
You can recraft things like rings and necklaces. Instead of completing the order, you just opt to recraft it. But you will be using your own mats (except for the spark)
This does not apply to gems. There is no option to recraft a gem.

If you’re talking about public orders, then just ignore them. You owe people who put up public orders literally nothing, and that’s the way blizzard intended it. If you’re getting personal orders out of trade chat, make sure you’re clear with your customers about whether or not the item is guaranteed max rank.
And make sure the likelihood of needing to recraft is priced into the service. Unless you can tolerate losing money.
Basically, yes, if you can’t get to 100% with ILLUSTRIOUS INSIGHT, then you can re-craft with your mats until it procs. Obviously you want ideally to get to 100% with the “INSIGHT” mat to force it to craft. Both methods work. You have to agree to a price beforehand and stick with it until it procs.
You’ve Tried Illustrious Insight, I presume? I didn’t see it mentioned in the post.
