So, I am MM.
But in PvP I find that after I drop my double tapped aimed shot I spend the rest of the match fleeing and doing no damage.
If I get lucky I can pull of a stun with binding shot, but that’s hit or miss. And, well, trinket.
Nevermind freezing trap usually being used to try and CC the friend.
(This is 2’s. I am losing my mind)
I mean… am I missing something?
Or am I just horribad?

I think you want to use Double tap for Rapid fire now because of the AS nerf so at least you can attack on the go. It’s all just practice.

Don’t double tap aimed.
Double tap rapid fire, spec explosive shot, get streamline talent, and surging shot leggo.
Don’t use careful aim, dead pvp talent.
Pvp spec into the feign death, true shot, and explosive trap or scatter shot for regular random bgs.
I like to start off with explosive shot into a rapid fire dbl tap, with a true shot into turreting aimed shots.

Your not a bad hunter probably you just need the right talents and understanding/experience. Everyone starts learning somewhere. Your never locked to a certain skill level. With each new tip u learn you will progress a bit more. Don’t think offensively always be thinking defensively in the back of your mind. Think what is the enemy trying to do and do things to counter that. Pvp is a mind game. Tricking your opponent is half the battle.

marksmen hunter needs to be very precise in arenas or else they will be taken advantage of for your mistakes. traps work best when u drop them under you if youre being picked on but watch out for warriors who spell reflect it.
i prefer random bgs on a hunter because the environment works for you rather than against you like in arenas( regarding kiting your enemies)
MM just has a terrain handicap that really can ruin some matches if youre not a kyrian hunter.
I think mm needs a run and gun spec like fire mage. Fire mage has a choice between a stand still cast type gpie build. And they still have a moderate build that is run and gun. I notice though out of all class specs fire mage is built the most similar to our ranged hunters in pvp. I always thought fire was built super well. And ranged hunter needs to follow suit. Bm is punished on dps for good mobility but gains no benefit while standing still on their base build. I always thought adding in one big shot move similar to gpie would allow bm to have good dps in standing moments but still allow there moving rotation to stay the same. And in reverse I’ve felt mm should have a running build that hits less damage like bm. If that makes any sense. It would fill the void these 2 specs are missing. Numbers adjusted to not be op of course
