Alyx from the event is either Xal’atath or Agent of Chaos

Alyx, the volunteer senior assistant lead guest relations manager, executive associate event coordinator, and temporary service agent, may be Xal’atath in disguise for several intriguing reasons, rooted in both her multifaceted role and potential supernatural connections. Here’s a theory based on a combination of her job titles and Xal’atath’s known characteristics:

  1. Manipulation of Perception and Influence
Xal’atath, as a former Old God servant, is skilled at manipulating others, bending perceptions, and creating chaos behind the scenes. Alyx’s expansive list of titles — from volunteer to temporary service agent — suggests a person who works behind the scenes, often in roles that influence others’ experiences without being the main focus. Her seemingly benign roles could be part of a larger strategy to subtly control the environment and shape outcomes in ways others may not notice.

  2. The Use of Hidden Knowledge
Xal’atath has vast knowledge of both the physical and metaphysical worlds. Alyx’s job as a guest relations manager and event coordinator suggests she is adept at managing complex systems and controlling details that others might overlook. This could be a reflection of Xal’atath’s ability to weave intricate webs of influence, much like how she manipulated events and entities during her time with the Void.

  3. Duality of Identity
Alyx’s temporary service agent role is the most intriguing. It could symbolize Xal’atath’s shifting nature — a being that is never quite fully contained by one identity or form. Much like Xal’atath’s history of possessing different vessels (such as being in the dagger that served as a conduit to the Void), Alyx’s various roles might be a way for her to keep a low profile while still exerting influence on multiple levels. In this sense, Alyx may be wearing different “masks” to blend into society, gathering influence, and furthering her own goals, just as Xal’atath did with her many forms.

  4. Anomalies in the Mundane
Xal’atath is known for subtle anomalies, often leaving a trail of strange occurrences in her wake. Alyx, with her vast but vaguely defined job titles, may be part of a similarly enigmatic structure. Her roles could be too expansive for any one person, leading to questions about how she manages it all. This paradox — seemingly too much for one individual but somehow achievable — could be a clue that she isn’t quite what she seems. Much like the Old Gods’ influence over the world, Alyx may be an agent of chaos, seemingly overextended but in perfect control of a larger, unseen plan.

  5. Unseen Presence in Important Moments
Xal’atath was always present in moments of significant change or turmoil. Alyx’s role as an event coordinator could indicate that she’s always around pivotal events, subtly influencing outcomes or guiding people without drawing attention to herself. As a guest relations manager, she may seem focused on trivial details, but in truth, she could be orchestrating much more than what is visible on the surface.

Conclusion
Alyx’s diverse job titles and seemingly benign responsibilities may be a cover for something far more sinister and powerful, akin to Xal’atath’s manipulation of fate and reality. Her positions allow her to operate unnoticed, subtly bending the fabric of events, relationships, and perceptions to suit a hidden agenda. Xal’atath, in her most clever form, could be using Alyx as a vessel to both engage with the world and prepare for the next phase of her influence — all while staying beneath the radar of those who would oppose her.

Xal’atath is going to side with Gallywix next Patch so all she needs to do is help direct Detectives to Mysteries until she gets proof of a major source of Arcane she can offer to Azshara in place of the Dark Heart(which is broken and thus would be only useful to her not that it stops Azshara from demanding the Dark Heart over the Azerite if she is unintelligent though if she is intelligent she will see the prophecy playing out and grab the Azerite and let Xal’atath turn into the Blind Queen wielding a Scepter of Bone).

Once she learns of Goblins discovering Azerite on Kezan in the Undermine she will first set up the Final Mystery that exposes her identity then make her getaway leaving the Characters confused on what she was trying to accomplish while we Players will know she was sniffing out the biggest sources of Arcane to give to Azshara.

Personally I don’t think Blizzard will use this event as part of TWW’s story. It feels self contained and just a fun meme event to reflect on the 20 / 30 years of WoW / Warcraft respectively.

I mean Onyxia’s Lair’s revamp in Wrath due to the WoW’s 5th anniversary and wasn’t tied to Wraths story. Nor was the LFR Molten Core and WoW’s 10th anniversary w.r.t WoD. Why should the 20th?
