I’d have been tempted for the transmog set, because that looks really cool, but the shoulder effect kind of ruins it. That, and I’ve heard its a pain to do the farming bit of the quest for it.
Preordering so I can make a VElf DK and be the edgiest thing possible, and you can’t stop me.

Not going to lie.
I’m a goober who always leaves his choice to pre-order down to the last week because of a combination of waiting to see what might come and procrastination.
I don’t know why people even preorder any more. I haven’t seen shortages like I did with the xbox360 or brand new games that came out. It’s just dumb and hurts the developers.

They can be used as a metric to gauge interest in the game as it’s been presented, to see if the bonuses offered are valued by the community or not, and how many potential new customers they bring in as well.
I think when BFA was announced it had the highest pre-orders ever, and a lot of that was attributed to the allied race system. Which strikes me as weird we don’t have ARs for Shadowlands.

I don’t think it even has a tentative release date. At least with Shadowlands we’ve been told, ‘In 2020,’ but Diablo IV doesn’t even have that.

I would rather them see that there’s an interest in seeing improvements to what exists over adding pointless new classes, etc. to the game.

Legion was the last expansion I’ll ever pre-order. Legion burned me, BFA has destroyed me, so happy I didn’t pre-order it. Zero trust exists any longer.
At this point, I’m considering just not purchasing expansions anymore and just joining the, ‘only play basegame’ crowd.

The BfA preorder that granted access to allied races is unironically the best money I’ve ever spent on this game.
Now that I think about it, buying TBC may have been better… the best in the last 10 years though.

At the end of the day while I am fully against pre ordering any blizzard material if you see what you are getting and go “yea this is worth 40 dollars to me” I can’t stop you but I’ll just wonder how in the world what we’ve seen is enough to get you to pre order.
Also people who pre-order for the sole purpose of “sticking it to the haters” are sadder than they realize
