So for a month now, I do not know what I did, but my warlock does not have the ability to use altoholic at all. There is no mini map button anymore for him, nor if I go escape/interface in the addons tab altoholic is not there anymore all my other characters have it and i can use it on them and if i open altoholic to look at my characters all show except my warlock. I have tried checking the level cap to 120 then to all and all the other level caps to see if it would work but to no avail. Any help please would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I’m not gonna lie, I read this as alcoholic and came in with my Concerned Mom Face on.
I do not use this addon so I am no help, friend. Only thing I can think of is check if it has an available update.

Maybe you have it disabled on just that toon. That’s happened to me
Have you checked to make sure you have the add-on enabled for that character? You can check add-ons in the menu or on the character loading screen (lower left).

I checked that the other day, but no altoholic is checked and so is data store i thought maybe I had one of the data stores functions unchecked but they are all checked.
I had something weird like this…not with Altoholic. Hmm. Can’t remember but you can go to addon page at Curse or Wowinterface and ask the author about this. The question there would be your best bet to get answered.
Probably a wrong switch in the lua.file somewhere.
Or make this thread on Macro & UI Forum - lots of addon authors hang around there.

Do you possibly have two alts on different realms with the same name, and that confusing the add on, or perhaps same name different faction same realm?
Usually is it something simple that the program is not completing because of something it is sampling wrong. If the add on itself were corrupted I would expect to see it across all toons
Perhaps uninstall and reinstall if that doesn’t break your stored self generated data?
No, I don’t have any other characters with the same name, and I also uninstalled and reinstalled and it is still the same. Although by this point i guess retrying the uninstall etc wouldn’t hurt. I also thought about renaming my wtf folder but I need to google that to see how I do that properly, I am slow at computer stuff lol
You might look for better answers on the Add-on forum or going directly to a forum for the add-on. I know most of the problems I’ve had with Altoholic have been because DataStore wasn’t loading correctly or it conflicted with another add-on.
I know in the past it didn’t play nice with other addons that did similar things such as Armory but that was like five years ago.
