Alternatives to wow?

So its my last sub day, not renewing. Not a quitting post I am sure I’ll come back in a couple months but what are good alternatives to wow while my sub is off?

I am thinking Path of Exile or D3 season whenever that is out (I dont like FF14, new world or lost arc).

I may be unique in this aspect but I actually rotate between completely different genres of games to keep things fresh. Currently cycling between WoW, League of Legends, and Escape from Tarkov. Games that have been in the rotation previously, and will probably return at some point, include Warframe, Rocket League, and PUBG. Any time I play a game that feels somewhat like WoW, I just wonder why I’m not playing WoW instead lol.

A good platformer or

^^This. You can never go wrong with Pokemon.

I find the best way to stave off MMO burnout is to play games that aren’t anywhere close to an MMO when I need a break.

GW2 is my go to when I need a WoW break. Once you have ascended gear, the treadmill is over and you never fall behind.

I can login right now after a year and be good to go for the highest tier content.

Minecraft has always been my go to alternative game. I also enjoy firing up The Division 2 to mess around with friends from time to time.

Hearthstone and Mercenaries.

Keep it in the family.

I’d just play some single player RPGs

That’s what I do when I unsubscribe for a few months

Plenty of absolute gems out there

Xbox game pass for the PC. Same monthly price as WOW and you get access to A TON of games…To include most EA and Bethesda games plus the entire halo series

i’ve been dabbling in those Myst-style adventure escape mobile games lately. play them for awhile until i hit one of their paywall puzzles then come back to wow

If you are looking for non-MMORPG or not even RPG, my games of choice are
Civilization 6, Empyrion, Subnautica, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Sims 4, and Sid Miere’s Railroads!

howabout elder scrolls online?

edit:
pc gamepass is a solid choice

I’m downloading Path of Exile.
fingers crossed

I have played many many xpacs and leagues on it, its very very good… I usually just go cyclone though and get bored mapping when I have to drop down tiers of maps because they don’t drop frequently enough.

Its a shame D3 stopped development after ROS and DI is just… urgh!!

Some interesting choices building up… I dont think I can do many though because I have maybe at most ~30-45 minute play sessions maybe a few times a week (its why wow has failed me).

DOTA2/LOL could work.

I have friends who are as addicted to PoE as I am addicted to WoW, so it will be an interesting experience!

Guild Wars 2 is my personal choice when there is FFXIV downtime.

FFXIV and Guild Wars 2 are the two reasons I progress slowly in WoW - they simply are more entertaining than WoW.

I’ve been having a lot of fun in Everquest 2 TLP servers. Regular server population isn’t that high but the latest TLP has a pretty good pop. More classes and races than WoW.

Starwars galaxies restoration 3 project.

Just google it if your interested.
