Alternative to undermine journal?

i used to use it for all auction house price comparisons is there a similar website that serves a similar function? it seems undermine journal has been permanently closed down. :sob:

Doesn’t TSM function the same way?

i dunno i dont use tsm. undermine would allow you to compare an auction of any item across all realms and all regions and even broke it down to a price point chart of median average, lowest highest, and what the median across all realms was and how big a price difference it was between current price listed and highest/median.

yeah but isn’t that limited to one realm at a time? i have characters across several realms and need it to determine which realm has it at the cheaper price before i committ to buying something.

  • Commodity (stackable) items show the median lowest price of that item over the past 4 days in your region (US / EU / TW / KR).
  • Non-stackable items show the median lowest prices of that item over the past 4 days in your realm and in your region.

undermine journal listed it for 1 day 2 days 3days 1 week 1 month 3 months, 6months, 1 year. this sounds rather limited and had charts for each.

If you go to undermine journal they have a link to undermine exchange. does that not work?

i know but i think the 4 days is better then the to a year thing

the year i would often use to see the price flow for an item. the most this goes is 2 weeks.

You can click on the item and see charts including Regional Daily History. In Regional Daily History you can see that there are grayed-out buttons for 6 months and 1 year; I am guessing this is because the site hasn’t been up long enough to have that data stored yet. The site just started when region-wide commodities started AFAIK. Currently you can see back 3 months in the Regional Daily History chart. And if you want to compare realms you can scroll through the list and see what the current price is on every realm.

Oribos Exchange is actually better with data than Undermine Journal was.

Undermine Journal started referring people to Oribos Exchange on their web site during Shadowlands, since Oribos Exchange was able to handle region-wide prices and Undermine was not.

This. It will start with your server price but just click on it and it will bring up all the region data.

EDIT: Also, Oribos Exchange is great if you’re looking for stuff like battle pets. Let’s say you type in a battle pet name and bring up the data. It will then show EVERY SERVER where that battle pet is, and what price it is on that server. Terrific for hunting down account-wide things like pets, toys, transmogs, etc.

In case of confusion, the new site to handle region-wide commodities was called “Oribos Exchange” at the end of Shadowlands. Now it’s called “Undermine Exchange” and it’s linked from the old Undermine Journal website. The new site has great data capabilities, it’s just a little painful to get used to a new format.

Hey wow they even changed the URL to undermine.exchange

Guess they merged or something.

I do not know this for a fact, but I always surmised that the same person/people who did TUJ were the same who created Oribos Exchange. The region-wide commodities called for a completely revamped site. I could be wrong, but I mean seriously, could there be more than one person/group with the capabilities and inclination to build a site like that? (Lots of us, like myself, would be inclined but not capable!)
