Alterac Valley Premades Ruining The Game

I can post a million screenshots, but why bother. Every single match I join its 5v40 because people are running premade AV’s abusing the system. Its automatic loss where our side goes afk and waits it out until we lose. When will Blizzard fix this? It needs to be addressed.

Ruining!

Yeah, this specific problem is impacting both factions in quite a negative way.

For example, Alliance will start with 5 players sometimes and then they gain enough that stops the game from ending resulting in Horde already having all 4 bunkers capped & GY’s.

Or, for the Horde perspective of this problem, we wait 50-60 minutes in a queue on Oceanic just to have a game end due to not enough players and we’re back into the queue spending 2-3 hours at a time to find one match that we can actually play.

This is a problem that shouldn’t be disputed in terms of resolving as it impacts everyone.

I suggested not allowing players to see what AV number they are joining. This would prevent people from being able to pick and choose battles.

I dont see the problem. Hardcore good honest and paying customers to Primer AV premades. Let the rankers rank. Then pvp will die off

It is literally the easiest and most adequate decision to implement… but Blizzard have absolutely no idea what the [Censored] they’re doing, and quite frankly, it’s embarrassing.
Have a word with yourself, Blizzard.

Then you’re part of it :joy::joy::man_facepalming:t3:

Step away, question yourself.

Why is Classic horshiet.

Think i got it. its because blizzard messes up everything they do.
Everytime they try to do something its wrong.

It started with releasing the game at patch 1.12
then it went on with layering
megaservers
faction imbalance
CHANGES

and here we are in the
:poop:

I seriously hope they have plans for the coming weeks to fix this. I don’t even queue bgs anymore I find dungeon farming more fun at this point. Losing to premades is not fun, winning because we started 40v15 is not fun either.

If they want to remove AV numbers, they should also hide them inside games. It serves no purpose and was removed from retail for this exact reason (Horde and/or Alliance ran a lot of premades up to certain expansions, cross-server, and eventually it stopped to work because of the removal of instance number)

If they allowed the clown car that is P2, why would they change this?

P2 lasted 3 weeks

BGs will last until Classic dies

Is that enough of a reason?

No it isn’t. When AB releases AV won’t be the thing anymore. During P2 all the alliance except those on two PvP servers had to suck it up or reroll. Now it’s your turn.

You want an even playing field? The infamous list of Horde advantages in AV:

    • It’s harder to defend Balinda than Galv, who can fear and tank for a whole team. She can… well… iceblock herself.
    • Towers are easier to defend. 2 people per tower can delay a capture by a looong time. The defensive advantage of bunkers doesn’t work once you’re outnumbered.
    • Towers are faster to reach to recap. Harder to recap than bunkers, but you have more time to try.
    • The horde can reach SHB before even getting to Balinda.
    • IBGY is the best respawn position on the map, and it begins with the Horde.
    • The trinket position for the Horde is farther from the Relief Hut flag than the Aliance’s is from the Aid Station’s. May look like a disadvantage, but actually means there will probably be nobody there when you teleport back.
    • From the Relief Hut you get to see the whole base and access the situation. North bunker is in a blind spot to the Aid Station.
    • The door/ramp defense of the Horde is… wait for it… way better than the infamous Alliance bridge. All aoes are on the same spot, the archers from both towers hit like trucks (the archers from the South Bunker start to hit at the very end of the bridge), it’s multishot/chain lightning/diseases/you name it heaven, easier to heal and doesn’t automatically give in to superior numbers.
    • It’s easier for the Horde to offensively choke the Alliance at IWB than vice-versa at TP.
    • It’s also harder for the Alliance to hold the same IWB choke, since they have to spread all over the ridge and protect SHGY.
    • The Horde has a defensive forward choke (completely useless for the Alliance) next to IBT.
    • The Horde doesn’t have to take that stupid fall damage at the race north. Just jump through the trees.
    • The Horde GYs, except the Relief Hut, aren’t as easily farmable, since they’re not located inside cul-de-sacs.

All these advantages and Horde pugs can’t get it together enough to win against a group of randoms on discord.

This afternoon I played two pug games on my Alliance and we easily won one of those because we decided on a strat and we had someone step up to lead. Also, the Horde were completely stupid and unorganized.

You have EVERY advantage in that BG. Stop being ridiculous and get it together.

I feel like he’s arguing a different thread

So you do not want them to remove AV numbers from instances ? They had to suck it up for 3 weeks, we have to suck it up for 2 years ? Anyway at this point classic won’t even last a year rofl.

Edit: Not every server is Horde dominated BTW. Some Horde were getting owned by alliance and still have to face premades in 30 minutes queues.

Yeah I’m not sure what I’m going up against. It’s pointless to continue =/

These topics where the horde masquerade as a bunch of good guys who only care about the health of the game and totally not about themselves and their own queues are my second favourite, only behind the “yeah i love the queues, i get to go outside and pick apples with grandpapa”, everyone can see through your feigned interest in having this resolved

and plzcomeagain, yes, those are called consequences

So back to the original problem, queue dropping is screwing up a lot of games.

Were they there in Vanilla?

There’s your answer.

Right because Classic is all about AV.

So dramatic.

I don’t disagree. But I don’t think this is something Blizzard needs to fix anymore than I think they need to fix other player made problems. Their fixes tend to make things 1000x worse.

Damn players ruining everything ! Ur right tho lol
