They ruined it long before that. 1.8 was a huge downgrade (cut off parts of the map), and npcs were heavily nerfed. I remember AV from TBC which lasted until a leader died.
What is the differences between TBC AV and early AV?
To me it's either 1.5 or possibly 1.6...or a garbage version.
