Alterac Valley Mines (Classic Era)

I have seen many speculate about this yet no clear answer, some say yes and some say no. Do the Alterac Valley Mines give honor at the end of the game if you control one or both mines? If it does give honor, does it depend if you win or lose in order to get that honor?

Wowpedia mentions that it gives reputation for controlling mines at the end of a match, but doesn’t have anything regarding bonus honor calculations.

Best way to test it would probably be on regular classic era servers.

Edit: From Wowwiki -

Events that do not award bonus honor

  • Killing Enemy Air Masters (Running back or Inflight)
  • Killing Marshals/Warmasters
  • Killing Vendors/Quest Givers
  • All quests
  • Capturing a resource (mines)
  • Taming a wolf or ram
  • Capturing a Graveyard
  • Killing any Guard not including the ones listed above
  • Killing Ivus the Forest Lord or Lokholar the Ice Lord

Unfortunately, at the end of a match it just shows a list of honor gained for end of match bonuses without telling you what they’re from so it’s hard to test in a regular match, end of match text just reads as follows:

Herald yells: The Frostwolf General is dead!
Herald yells: The Alliance wins!
You have been awarded 198 honor points.
You have been awarded 198 honor points.
You have been awarded 198 honor points.
You have been awarded 198 honor points.
Your group has been disbanded.

If the end of match bonus honor actually specified what they were from that would be amazing.
