I went hunting and can’t find anything earlier than BC regarding the bridge exploit. AV terrain did get changed in BC. The comments all seem to be in the 2.x timeframe.
The only exploit I recall reading and hearing about in vanilla was the one near the horde GY either through or over the fence.
Hell, there was a literal snowdrift ramp that enabled people to ride right over the horde wall.
maybe that was it. Do you recall the bridge exploit though ?
I usually spent my time at Van defending when I played my priest.
Huge battles there because the GY was right there as well as the mine.
I personally never knew of an exploit to get into the alliance base by circumventing the bridge.

Yep what you should take away from it is that the original devs who made AV realized it wasn’t very good and were always working to improve it.
Why is AV yellow in classic? Is it a time of day thing because I’ve never seen that before in Vanilla. All the snow looks like an old-timey sepia photograph.

it’s quite funny that most streamer AVs are the ones that are lasting the longest due to the fact the streamer is dictating fights and plans.
If the streamer wants to summon the elemental lord, people will try to do it for the stream, some leave of course, but it’s interesting.
No it’s weird, I don’t think it’s displaying right, the snowing is blindingly glowing yellow.
I haven’t said anything yet about classic, im excited to relive it, but im very extremely disappointed that AV will not be the 5-7 day battles, those were the best part for me, I loved that long game.
You could jump up the cliffs on the south-side of the Alliance base. Not as easy as the snow drift at the Horde base, required some wall-jumping skills.
This just in: Brokenwind doesn’t want an even semi-accurate Classic, he wants a custom experience akin to that found on private servers.
Early on in AV, there were too many NPCs and they were too hard to kill.
