Then hopefully Blizzard starts swinging the ban hammer next week for exploiting the queue system. If you have knowledge of this exploit, please submit a ticket in case they aren’t aware of it.
This is already a feature. Those that rolled on a pvp realm expecting part time pvp can fix their poor decision making. Does it destroy a realms population - yes. Is it better than having the wrong players on those types of realms - yes.
The change wont let the game start until those places have been filled. The gates wont open with 10v40 - the time spent waiting inside the av until the gates open will increase just enough to hit the threshold. Great change.
Hahahahahhahaha - they will just q wsg in a premade, where they can stack druids and paladins + faps to run flags clean across the map and cant even be slowed. They dont want to pvp - the like to run and survive.
I whole heartedly agree with you that the imbalance goes both ways for whomever is dominate on that particular PvP server. I’ve seen many videos and experienced that both sides committed against the other side so it not just one side that does everything wrong in the game. The game does favor more Horde side controlled servers, but let’s not forget both factions do, do it. I really can’t see a way to fix that because people like the factions they play for wither its PvE bonus or PvP bonus. This is why I rolled on a PvE server this time instead of choosing a PvP server and getting ganked all the time. The only way I could see a fix is like they did in retail after I left and just unflag all servers from PvP and let players select a war mode.
This is further away from what most of us want, and even less like vanilla. What gives? Just give an older version and all these problems are solved and the people rejoice. Sad day.
I can only think of One solution to balance the PVP servers and that would to be to implement faction based queues based on opposing sides population. If the alliance has 3500 horde have 7000 well only 4000 horde can now log in at any one time the rest enter queue until there is room. offer them the ability to faction change or server transfer for free
Did they do anything to make it harder for horde to world pvp? No.
Did they do anything to hinder corpse camping? No.
All they did was release somewhere else to pvp.
Now imagine if they made it so servers had faction specific queues and forced server balance. Now you have a more legit comparison. But they didn’t do that. Your world pvp was not taken from you or limited.
10 on 1 isn’t pvp.
Killing people before they can load is not pvp.
Safespotting is not pvp.
Let me know when horde want to actually engage in somewhat balanced pvp and we can talk.
Ironic? No.
Expected.
Blizzard has a history of catering to The Horde. In retail they wash for years as more and more top Alliance players and Guild switch to The Horde faction instead of doing something to fix this issue they ignored it. The only time they took action was implemented mercenary mode because Horde PvP queue times were way too long
No? Why would they make it hard to pvp on a pvp server, where the whole point is to be able to pvp at any time? This isn’t retail where PVP servers were completely abolished. They gave everyone, not just Horde, a more lucrative outlet for honor farming.
Corpse camping isn’t against the rules, so again, why would they?
Again, this isn’t retail, and when they released Classic it was pretty explicit that things were going to go by the old ruleset. If you expect them to “take world pvp away” or whatever it is, I don’t know what to tell you. They released BGs early in order to take the pressure off, and it served that purpose.
And yet you could queue for whatever bg you wanted and premade in vanilla. Without issue. So why is it a problem in classic?
If were going by the old rules why take away premades?
I didn’t expect them to take world pvp away. But they could have implemented faction specific queues. Much better way to solve the issue.
I think you know the answer to this question. There was no ability to queue as a group in the patch that Classic is based on, so in order to get around this, players had to set up a Rube Goldberg-type operation. And in its efforts to maximize hph efficiency, this operation was disrupting the play experience of their own faction.
And btw you’ll be able to queue as a group of 5 and this change might wind up making it easier to do the juryrigged premades, so you may want to save all the wailing and rending of garments for a week or two to see how this all pans out.
