It sounds like you are leaving the Pally pull in AV. Which is fine, but it makes it sound like this change wouldn’t have happened if the Alliance didn’t greif their own player base. Would that be the case?
By greifing I mean: Black Listing Players, Mass AFK Reporting, Game Abandonment, etc…
Appreciate an honest horde reply. As an older gamer, I played horde vanilla on a PvP server, then alliance, now alliance on PvE in classic. AV at current is very 1 sided horde. Though a good alliance pug can accomplish things, it is rare. I have not run any premades, and it has been painful.
Cave Camping is awe inspiring. Yesterday, I came into AV and walked out of the cave into no less than 20 horde at entrance. They repeatedly killed alliance players again and again, though we were no honor. If PvP is about honor, horde have none. Since all I really wanted was a ring from rep, oh well. Certainly as a player who wishes to enjoy the limited time I have to play; I can skip PvP
Everyone could premade is vanilla.
It just wasnt 8/10 groups being premades. It also didnt meant empty games happened and 10 Alliance got monstered by 40.
I think this warrants a Blue’s attention. That Blue post had a veiled threat to those who continue to use this exploit.

I played Horde in Vanilla on a Alliance dominated PvP server, and swore if I ever played again it would be on a PvE server. I’ve played maybe 450-500 match’s as Horde and only once have I been in a match where they where cave camping the alliance. Can it be happening in other match’s possible. Will it happen in future match’s possible, but they are trying to deter that with some changes.
I will say that GY camping is something both sides do. I know when Horde want to lock down SHGY they will fight at the flag point then take the flag when they know the offense is moving on then we take the GY. But when Alliance want to GY camp they sit right on top of where we spawn at IBGY and second we revive wham dead again only when they finally teach the Horde a lesson do they move on which is a bit different as one gives Alliance a chance to fight where the other just kills you before you have a chance to fight back.
God forbid people want to play an AV where a 40 man team actually, idk, works together? They start banning people then what? 5 man squads will go crush any quick honor obj and afk out soon as it looks bleak. W/e I’ll hit exalted this weekend, get my offhand, and be done with it for the most part anyway. Then you can keep complaining forever as premades continue to stomp pugs.
They’ve trashed retail. Latest patch sounds like it terrible. I doubt I’m gonna bother buying shadowlands with their recent track record since Activision. My s.o. couldn’t be happier if I got banned.
Perhaps not, but in that you have to realize that there would probably have been no where near the extend of remaking without that griefing, and so probably would not have been much of an issue to anyone, horde or alliance.
I’ve seen a couple people camping the Ally cave lately; but personally I haven’t witnessed this level of it. Keep in mind we are playing a fantasy game and it is about a bitter faction war. Killing alliance wherever we find them is our duty. That’s the game - even more so in a BG.
As to you farming rep for a trinket, can you not understand that depriving you of a powerful trinket is something your enemies would want to do?
BUT WHO WILL THINK OF THE ALLIANCE PUGS? Those poor saps who still dont have 100% speed mounts and friends.

Great! Can we then have all RP server characters in the same AV please? After I posted about cave camping, guess what? Went into another AV and not quite 20 camping the cave this time, more like 15.
But truly, if you get joy from such things, please continue. I was only trying to help alleviate the number of people after band of Accuria from Rag. Not a PvP ring, not a PvP server, not a PvP encounter. Don’t need it. We are clearing MC and Ony with no problems, but I thought I would attempt to get gear another way so others in guild who don’t have time to grind rep could roll on Rag loot.
Random temporary discord premade individuals are what amounts to “friends” these days? Your post is both elitist and weird.
That’s really not what this particular battleground is for even if you believe it should be. In somewhat sense you are on the same team and working towards the same objectives, but not like you are wanting.
Huh? What does adding AB have to do with raid geared players one shotting pvpers?
I didn’t participate in the premades. Merely pointing out that the horde were concerned for the wellbeing of alliance pugs, but this change will screw them even more.
Groups of 5 WILL kill the LT’s and leave if games are taking longer than 15 minutes. Then new groups of 5 will join, see that there are no LT’s to kill, and they will leave. Randoms are still hurt.
Hey look, I am all for extending deserter to 2x the normal amount of time, as well as a chunk of honor removed for clowns who do that.
This sadly is not enough to stop premades.
At the moment the current plan for premades when this drops is to queue with 200 people in groups of 5 and atleast half of your premades will enter the same BG. They then type the number of the bg which can be seen ingame into the discord which automatically sends them to the channel according to it and they have a premade in the game. They then say “Queue for 47” and the premade people will all queue for 47. All this does is let horde have friends in AV, create longer queue times, and make the future rankers have a bit harder of a time, this needs further thought and more drastic changes.
If you really want to fix the issue that is AV
Reduce the honor gained by 50% so that it can be replaced/compete with Warsong Gulch
Remove the ability to specific queue for AV games and only allow First Available.
Release Arathi Basin and as above, reduced the honor from AV by 50%.

Tried to explain this for the horde to try their own premades. They probably didn’t have the smarts to make discord bots. Too busy with the zug zug
