I am regularly in AV that starts with 5 or 7 players . So many that I have 1000 screenshots.
So ya I don’t see how it couldn’t start with less than 20.

They basically have… It would be a miracle if PuG’s could pull that off
And do you know why?
It wasnt because of horde
hey @kaivax,
@everyone Hello everyone sorry for the ping but I’m sure you are all becoming aware of blizzards recent blue post and their attempt to thwart our efforts in our honor grinds. We dont think this change is going to impact our mass queue system as much as smaller more refined teams are who rely fully on fills/Snipes to get good matches. We have multiple ideas on the table for after Tuesday but until the changes are implemented it’s hard for us to know there impact upon our play style. (Brush up on your WSG strats if you don’t like mass queue with no fills/snipes
They are already working on a work around for your fix…does this count as exploiting mechanics or something?
I hate how these idiots in the damn premade discord servers have completely RUINED the classic pvp grind AND any sense of fun in AV. Its now a damn chore and extremely regrettable experience to even queue for a single AV match, just for reputation since no one turns in items.
Because of how and when they (alliance groups trying to premade) dump out of the queue.
It [the BG] basically hits a point of no return, and they bail after it hits that point.
It would need to like prestage, and lock everyone in the caves, and not begin the start mechanism until 40 are in the cave.
But, that could possibly not work out as well as it seems at face value, if queue times are low enough, dedicated premaders might take the debuff and bail anyways, simply leaving you in the cave for how ever long it takes for your pug to fill.
Actually I don’t … If you read the blue post again it said We’re fixing a setting that allowed the battleground to start with as few as 20 players on a team This says that if I had 7 players on my team it should not have started anyway.
I understand pre-mades were the driver…
Interestingly they don’t state what the minimum number has been set to. Technically the horde queues should increase just on this change alone LOL
Got revered the first 2 weeks. The real question is when half the alliance stops q’ing for AV how do YOU feel about longer wait times?
Because they all mass dump from the queue, when its too late for the BG routine to stop, because they didnt get an acceptable amount of their people in.
The BG thought all was cool, because when it looked, it was (not saying it’s looking does not have flaws)
End result is BG mechanism already hit the point of no return, and you land in the BG with 7 guys, possibly 3 of which are afk anyways.
alliance about to get yeet’d
run little gnome, ruuuun
Well half of the idea is well meaning. I agree with the change affecting bgs, but not world pvp. There doesn’t need to be further reasoning to corpse camp outside of bgs. It makes sense for less strict diminishing returns in bgs, as people will die many more times just by playing the game.
I haven’t seen this much projection in a thread in a long time. I could read this thread for days.
Alliance make premades to try to cheat out win rates, completely screwing over every other Ally. They vote kick them out games, they charge them money to rank up, and are just toxic douches in their discords, apparently.
So Blizzard makes a small change so you can’t see what number BG you’re in and all of a sudden “HORDE MADE BLIZ DO THIS!” “Look at all the Horde QQ.” LMAO!
Are you literal children? Have responsibility for your actions Alliance. Have some damn shame.
Horde could premade in Vanilla, game is supposed to be as is, so why are there changes?
Why can Horde not deal with one thing not in their favor that, was in their favor when they were the smaller faction?
I expect Blizzard to start adjusting everything everyone cries over from now on.
#Somechanges4crying
Wow pot kettle black …
They adjusted the way the game works because they also made megaservers and cross-continent BGs, which also didn’t exist in Vanilla. I personally think they should make MORE changes so we don’t have so much overcrowding on servers. You should too if you don’t like being farmed in your flightpaths.
Use your brain before you post.
How about you use yours, since you’re crying about something that was literally a thing in Vanilla.
Cross BGs did exist in Vanilla. Did you even play it?
No mega servers weren’t in Vaniilla and people complained about them being implemented, you guys are literally crying about something that was part of the Vanilla experience.
There’s no comparison. Horde cannot have one single disadvantage without taking to the forums and boohooing. How about you have some shame and some common sense before trying to tell other people what to do.
All of this means nothing if you don’t move the Horde cave back to Durotan Shrine, or move Ally Cave forward to abandoned campsite-ish
I ran premades in Vanilla. Before there was cross-server BGs, on Skullcrusher. We had to do that in trade chats. And there was no voice comms. People had private vent servers but not just free ones anyone would join on a whim. I ran things then the way I do when I’m leader now, Raid Warnings.
Premades then were worse than what our Horde PUGs are now. I can tell you that from personal experience, then and now.
And I haven’t once complained about premades. The first post I made about them, and you can go look, I said, “They will remove the BG so Alliance can’t do this and Allies will blame this on Horde, but they will change it because Allies will cry when it screws over their PUGs.” - Seriously, go look, I called this exact scenario.
Allies still have every advantage. Paladins are busted OP, and AV FAVORS Alliance. Go DEFEND. Or don’t. But either way, shut up.
I was waiting for the BUT ALLIES GOT DA PALLIES post, freakin knew you’d bring that up.
I ran with premades in Vanilla using Vent, Vent servers could be rented for cheap. We never had issues with BGs, PvE raids, we had voice options for server pvp and when crossrealm came out, that. All you had to do was talk to a few people from other servers and give them the info. Is it as easy as now? No but there were messenger services and forums around to meet up.
Your faction cannot deal with one disadvantage that regardless of how things are was an advantage for Horde at one time. It’s one BG, Horde control the near entire map on most pvp realms.
I’m assuming WSG and AB crying will commence if somehow Alliance has one slight advantage and isn’t stomped every single game.
Horde have the advantage in AV, cave lets you get to Balinda before Allies can reach Galv, terrain exploit into Alliance base and the dreaded bottle neck at the horde base your faction brags about. Yeah allies have the real advantage. Take your own advice and shut up, you sound foolish.
Honestly this is a poor choice, i know people are making the brackets Aids but sooner or later the human problem would’ve fixed its self however the HORDE problem is still massive for many servers and you are now encouraging them back to previous behaviors that were toxic, and we’ll see a fix for that six months later.
This is the worst possible fix imo, don’t half mule fix stuff do it entirely or not at all.
oh yea lets take away the only thing alliance have goin for them cause horde are BIS soo many horde rule over the pvp servers due to faction imbalance horde get to balinda faster horde can backdoor our main base and oh alliance are doing something to make it just the slight bit berrable better change that sh*t real fast blizzard cant let them have anything
