So blizzard confirms it’s ideal game play is horde farming alliance in the world with OP racials and OP numbers.
These changes will cause the Horde Queue to jump up to 1-2 hours and force a repeat of the stupidity of FP farming, Boat farming, Dungeon entrance farming.
Blizzard knows this so you have to conclude this is what they want to occur. I think we know what faction the blue’s are playing here.
We need to differentiate between a temporary imbalance at a particular location, and a regular pattern of that imbalance AT multiple locations caused by the faction selection differences themselves. For nearly all servers, only the former exists. Land at LHC get killed a couple times if your faction isn’t there holding it currently… it’s the way it is. I was killed hundreds of times before honor was even out. How do you explain that exactly? Psychos on Alliance? I call it fun, but the Allies on this thread can’t seem to separate the wheat from the chaff.
You know, I’ve been thinking about this a bit more and I’m not sure if celebration is warranted just yet… relative to breaking premades. So upon reading the Blue’s wording here’s something to consider.
There are Two screens involved in the AV Q process. There’s the BattleMaster screen, which is where the “Join Battle” button resides. But there’s also the Pop up prompt when you get an AV assigned to you, but that has a button labeled “Enter Battle”.
So I see two scenarios here.
Scenario 1.
Only the BM screen has the AV#s removed/not shown, but the Popup AV# remains.
Scenario 2.
Blue actually meant that Both BM and Popup AV has the numbers removed, or not shown.
In Scenario 1, this actually doesn’t change the Premade process much at all, because it’s the Popup AV# that matters the most in forming the group. This process doesn’t change, and Q dodging will still exist. The only thing this does is change the timing for when the Premades call the time to Q, because it maybe harder to identify when a new AV game is available. In this scenario, Premades are still likely to run rampant and PUGs start with 20v40, instead of 10v40. Additionally, what this does is stop Sniping from both Pugs and Premades… which will be worse for Pugs trying to get into a premade. But at least there’s the Party grouping option which is better than nothing.
If it’s actually scenario 2, then that is what will disrupt the system. Otherwise… I’m not sure if Blizzard really understands how Premades are made, or maybe their intent wasn’t to disrupt premades? We’ll really have to wait and see what happens next week.
I apologize if someone already brought this up. Just came out of meetings and haven’t had a chance to review the full thread.
There are already 30-40 mins long and im tried of joining a premade Alli game back-to-back for 4-7 hours only playing for 5 mins. So yeah this is gonna be great.
Uh, dude, the entire UI was designed to allow players to create addons. Yes, the intent was there for things like CT Raid, DBM, etc. which are just glorified and prettified stopwatches (i.e. timers) in game.
How do you even breathe under all of that salt? Again, you are on one of the most balanced realms possible, and yet here you are. I don’t get it, I truly don’t. Has Grobbulus really touched you so inappropriately? Or is this some type of edginess for edginess sake?
