Alt + R combo not working

I can’t figure this out…

I got a new computer. Went from Win10 to Win11 and a much faster CPU and graphics card.

All of a sudden, the “Alt + R” combo doesn’t work anymore.

There’s nothing wrong with my Alt key. I can use other keybinds that include Alt (Alt + 1, Alt + T, etc.). But if I try to even assign a keybind to “Alt + R”, the game doesn’t recognize that I’ve pressed anything.

There’s nothing wrong with R either. It’s my main spammable key (Frostfire bolt on Mage, Brutal Slash on Feral, Clawing Shadows on DK, etc.).

But somehow, the combo of holding Alt and pressing R just doesn’t register with the game at all.

It also happens to be my most important cooldown keybind on all my characters… so please help!

My only thought, having a amd card, is Adrenaline uses a hot key to trigger overlay with alt+r, so does GeForce, but in your case I am not sure. But a least it’s something to check.

What GPU do you have and which software are you using to control it?

Edit: System had me quoting Kozzae when I had the OP selected. The question was to the OP. Bad Discourse!

A true MVP!

It was indeed AMD. I went into the HotKeys section of the app. Oddly, it doesn’t show anything using Alt+R, but I just entirely disabled HotKeys, and that immediately fixed the issue!

TBH I have no idea what this app does. I have a Ryzen CPU, but a GeForce RTX 5070, so IDK what the AMD stuff is even doing for me.

Sweet! Glad you got it solved. Just so you know, if you were to install and use something like GPU Tweak III or MSI Afterburner, they also have hotkeys enabled by default so you’d need to turn them off there too in that case.

Probably preinstalled bloatware like ASUS’ Armory Crate. If you don’t have an AMD GPU you shouldn’t even need Adrenaline at all.
