I want to pvp on my my alt but before I can even start to be competitive I need to:

  • get to max level
  • do my covenant questline
  • do the korthia questline
  • get my renown up
  • farm my conduits
  • do my weekly choregast for soul ash
  • get my legendary that may be time gated as it may be in a certain wing in choregast or may be a world boss on rotation.
  • farm gold for my legendary as the base level item is really expensive
  • farm honor to buy gear then farm more honor to upgrade gear

yeah I can see why my friends don’t want to come back I’m not sure why i resubbed for 9.1 its a nightmare.

So you just want to buy a fully geared max level character to do a game mode? With no work involved?

Its awful but here’s a simpler list thats less depressing

-do threads of fate to get renown 12 by max level
-buy full 200 boes from ah (they’re around 1-2k each on populated servers)
-buy 1 230 boe
-send soul ash to your alt from your main to skip the weekly torgast gate
-skip honor gear because its worthless
-do korthia for renown and 207-220 pieces

I want to get to max level and farm honor gear that’s it. But in order for me to be competitive I need to do everything else.

That’s not what he said. He’s pointing out how unfriendly it is to alts. At least MoP foresaw this and once you got exalted with a rep, your alts gained rep twice as fast.

“Pathfinder” is another example. Imagine if you had to do a bunch of stuff to unlock flying with each alt.

I thought honor gear scales up though?

It scales up to 203 which is negligible compared to a full set of vers+your favoured stat

At renown 43 it scales up to 216, its a lot of honor for very little upgrade considering how much faster korthia epics are

At renown 59 you’ll get scale up to 229… which will take a while to get

Why would they gate the honor gear behind renown to upgrade it? I mean I looked at the conquest gear ands its leagues ahead of honor gear.

Because they want casual pvp to die lol. The whole thing is dumb and aggravating

Maybe the guy just wants to pvp but isn’t allowed to because he needs to grind out 5 pve systems before and get smacked with several time gates before he is even allowed to attempt pvp.

thanks for the link I looked at it and wooooooooooooooooooow what a load of rubbish.

Why can’t we just grind out the same ilvl gear in pvp I mean just let the arena gear unlock like 5 ilvl above honor gear or just be purely cosmetic like it already is. The disparity between gear aka ilvl amazes me.

I would if I could. That shouldn’t concern YOU anyway. You do almost no end game content assuming this is your main.

But ff doesn’t have pvp :frowning:
A lot of mmos now are focusing on endgame and realizing that a lot of mmo players don’t care about the levelling process and just want to start raiding and pvping asap, so games like lost ark and solo rush you through the main story as basically a tutorial to prepare you for endgame content

Its not comparable to other mmo’s rated ladder pvp though. Also unique pvp mogs for top 100 players is a little bit too exclusive even for me
