ALT F4 should not instantly log you out

It’s getting worse and worse with people engaing in pvp combat and then Alt F4 to instantly log out.

If somebody ALT F4’s in pvp combat their character should stay in world.

I’m pretty sure there’s a 20sec grace period, unless they accept a queue.

It’s been going on all day over in Dhar Bandar specifically people with bounties on their heads.

It doesn’t. You character stays in game for the ~20 seconds it would normally take to sit down and /exit. That’s how you login dead if you d/c while fighting some random mob.

Then how are these people with bounties instantly leaving when they start losing a fight, and then coming back 20-30 seconds later?

I could see a Q pop if it’s just once or twice that it’s happening, but it’s literally been going on all day.

Probably exploiting this.

If someone’s tryharding world pvp this much, I assume they’d know how to do it consistently.

Another possibility is they got a friend to invite them into a group and phased over to his realm.

I think more than likely its the follower dungeon. It literally just happened to me again lol

So you just make a macro to queue into a follower dungeon almost instantly? That’s funny.

Quite likely, but people have been complaining about this sort of exploit for years. So that’s not the only possibility. I actually have an addon that autoaccepts group invites, so if you get invited there’s nothing to click. I find it very convenient for a number of uses, though I never used it to try to get out of combat. Weird things can happen when I suddenly find myself in a group of strangers. I had a level 10 twink farming Shadowmoon Burial Grounds who somehow got invited into a mythic+ dungeon. Sorry guys, but…

You know, that’s fiendishly clever. So you are in a bg, you queue for a Follower dungeon, which is amost immediately, get put into that, then quit and you are back at the bg? I would have thought that once you exited the bg you would be kicked out of it.

I’m not in a BG I’m over on Dhar Bandar the FFA pvp area. Farming honor kills for a few achievements.

Ah, ok, gotcha. That would make sense then.

Maybe just disable the ability to start a Follower dungeon while in warmode. Obviously its instant while any other queue takes time.

So people in warmode wouldn’t be able to do follower dungeons? I don’t think that would work. How about people in PvP combat not being able?

I think just not being able to accept any type of Q while in pvp combat would be good enough.
