I plan on playing DK as a main but i’m at a crossroads as to what I should play as an alt. I’ve narrowed it down to Shaman, Hunter, or Druid (boomchicken/resto). I want to play as a ranged DPS for the alt but don’t mind also going heals since I healed for Uldir and most of BoD. How is Shaman looking atm?
Currently a lot of fun, mostly because of stuff that may or may not be intended. While dmg numbers are low, we hopefully will see this get better with tuning.
The real problem is a lot of the fun of current ele comes from bugging out a legendary, a different legendary proccing the Giga lava bursts from ascend, and ele blast proccing surge of power. Tough to say how it will feel without these… probably not great
I am worried about the low numbers but i’m willing to go Resto if really needed. I will be watching Ele when pre-patch launches and hopefully they will have done something by then. Thanks for the opinions though I really appreciate it!
I keep changing my mind but similarly I’m thinking I’m going to Main a DK for m+ tanking and grinding rep and whatever else needs to be farmed. Then, I think I’ll probably play a resto druid as a primary alt because while I love M+ healing, I don’t really care for Feral/Balance as much. But who knows, depending on how balance changes unfold I could see myself possibly maining a Druid instead.
As for ranged dps, neither interest me but if I had to pick one I think I’d go boomy. I hear really good things about frost mages but they’re probably gonna get nerfed for being too good.
Tldr: Shaman for Raiding, Druid for M+
You will regret going shaman. They are always weak and do not get selected in content. I would get no invites in PvP or pve on them. At the moment their dps is terrible in beta. I want to love them but blizzard makes them impossible to play.
This just isnt true. At all.
You can’t get invites in keys past 12+. Raids are meh to you. Their dps is the lowest in beta right now.
You can get into high M+ Pugs as shaman. You just need to build up your IO score.
When did that start? When I still did keys I almost entirely pugged my +15 to all dungeon achievement.
