Alright, Black Friday's Over. Be Honest; How Bad Was the Damage?

Bought some games on Steam for like $70.00 total. Never left the house.

Me too!
He’s such a good boy :dog:

So, I have two jobs (one retail and one a restaurant) and not working on Thanksgiving is a fireable offence at the restaurant. I was blessed with a 12-8pm shift that day, and netted almost 300$ for my troubles. How was I NOT going to spend even a fraction of that after the day I had? Retail therapy, amirite?

I bought:

 • Magic Bullet Blender
 • Counter-top Electric Skillet
 • 2 Pillows
 • A colander, mixing bowl, storage container, measuring cup/spoon set
 • Mini PJ Masks Sofa
 • A Large Mickey Mouse

All very adult, no nonsense purchases (for the most part), but it sure did make me feel better.

I bought Diablo III and Starcraft Remastered from Blizzard. Pretty cheap, less than $30 I think.

Bunch of random stuff on Amazon for less than $100.

Most expensive was some soft-side coolers for my Jeep. Got 25% off but was still over $400. Still can’t believe my wife let me get those.

One thing we used to do was draw names it was much easier. One person to buy for. Now it’s just three people so I get everyone something.

My son wants a gaming computer for Christmas, so he gets mine and I got this…

> CASE - NZXT H700 (Black - Blue)
> CPU COOLING - NZXT Kraken X62
> MOTHERBOARD - MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC (Black)
> GPU(GRAPHICS) - MSI GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X
> CPU - Intel Core i7-8700K 6-Core 3.7 GHz
> POWER SUPPLY - Seasonic Focus Plus 850W Gold
> RAM - G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3200 MHz
> SSD - Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
> EXTRA - NZXT USB Expansion
> SERVICES - Standard
> SOFTWARE - Microsoft Windows 10 Home
And an Alienware 1900R 34.1", Curved Gaming Monitor

I spent over $100 on Steam but bought games like Far Cry 4/5, Vampyr and the ESO expansion. When/if I’ll play them because of wow who knows. Maybe during a break. But all the games were at least 50% off. I was thinking about other games like Jurassic World but that one looks like it might get repetitious after awhile.

I bought the BfA Deluxe upgrade because Blizz made it look like it was on sale. But, it wasn’t on sale, and I guess I’m just dumb enough to fall for it. So, my Black Friday damage was only $20 and some embarrassment.
(Not really upset. $20 is a good deal for two mounts and a pet or I wouldn’t have bought it.)

Bought The Witcher III and NieR: Automata for my new Xbox One.

For some strange reason, spending money on Blizzard products just isn’t a priority anymore.

Scored big in food sales at the local markets.
Seriously thought of donning my old SCA armor, to protect my old bones, and get in the melees at various computer places, just see what I could find.
Alas, with the years comes both the old bones and a measure of common sense.
I am satisfied with the heavy-duty scores for holiday coffees(NO Starbleech) and spices.

Going to be a GRAND Yule!

Building a new system and got a Ryzen 2600x and 16 GB of RAM. Was looking for a good deal on GPU’s but there really weren’t any as prices are still riding the wave of the mining-craze. Radeon 580’s have consistently been $200ish for months now so I’ll probably grab one of those eventually unless a Vegas dips down to an acceptable price point.

Adopt me, plz.

I bought 3 copies of Divinity 2 for my brothers and father. Gonna have them unlocked on Christmas and have a massive play session. Dad was a big D&D back in the day, so this should be fun.

Just stayed home and worked on some portraits I’m doing. I know the crazies were out there going wild, and frankly, I’m not going to be part of that madness thanks.

I haven’t bought anything… yet. I was eyeing the new 2018 Kindle Paperwhite hoping that it would go on sale, but alas, it didn’t. Husband is still going to buy it for me for Christmas, we were just hoping for a good deal on it. I need to replace my 1st gen Nook that will no longer download books.

Finally caved and bought Soul Calibur 6 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Bought the Destiny 2 Complete Edition. The game is really great. After being horribly disappointed with BO4, Destiny 2 was exactly the shooter I was looking for.

I thought about getting Shadow of the Tomb Raider but with other purchases already planned and a vet trip (who knows how much that will cost) coming up Monday I decided to hold off. We have both the previous Tomb Raider reboot games and love them.

In fact, they are the only single player PS games I have ever finished.

I went 2 am to walmart got a handful of cheap movies and doom for ps4. Also picked up a switch at gamestop with mariokart and $50 gift card.

Yea the first 2 reboots are amazing they’re 2 of my favorite games on my Xbox rn actually. So I’m really hoping the 3rd one is as good or better.
