Already running out of content at 70

Make World Quests daily again why was this ever even changed? I have literally nothing to do but gather stuff and hunt rares. Why was World Quest timers even changed? The only reason they were even a “Problem” was because there was player power tied into them with AP. That doesn’t exist anymore, and getting a piece of even 382 gear isn’t the same as AP since you will replace that piece eventually.

Please do not let DF become WoD 2.0.

Because ever since their introduction in 2016, world quests have consistently pushed other activities (like professions) out of frame and rendered everything else pointless. Why do things like professions, gathering, and other exploration-based activities when world quests give you everything you could possibly need?

Reducing world quest presence in the game was fine. There’s plenty of content to do in the game, it’s just that Blizzard doesn’t hold your hand anymore and tell you what to do.

I don’t understand how folks are running out of content.

I’m on my 3rd 70 and I’m still overwhelmed with stuff to do. The world quests at a longer time limit feels nice for me because I can play different characters each day and not feel like I’ll fall behind on an alt if I don’t do a world quest.

This is probably it. A lot of people don’t play alts.

I don’t enjoy playing alts and don’t want to. If you have to make alts for more content that only proves there’s a lack of content.

More like “we are finally free to make alts without completely destroying any point of playing our main” which is different from what you said but also very nice.

I’m not sure how WQs have anything to do with linking DF to WoD. No expansion prior to WoD had WQ and they all managed to keep players engaged.

Because MoP had an insane amount of dailies and players complained about them so Blizzard basically removed them from the game for WoD. The same is happening with WQs for DF. And without that sort of daily content there’s nothing to do unless you want to grind M+ all day which isn’t even out yet.

I can see it if you binged, nonstop, on WoW and really pushed hard to complete everything! I think that’s the very thing they designed the game around, though: They don’t want people to be bogged down in countless chores.

That was SL’s WQ design in a nutshell: Chores. Fulfilling a checklist for your day/week before doing whatever you wanted to do. It’s fine if you enjoy that but that was certainly something I didn’t like!

We’re getting Season 1 next week, and I feel there’s plenty to focus on besides! Unless you don’t want to do it, of course, and that’s fine too!

With the renown gates, more WQs could help gain renown to getting recipes unlocked needed for leveling professions.

When their main expansion selling point is a gimmick like dragonriding we were foolish expecting any substance to regular content

I’m finding a lot of these complaints are coming from folks that finished the campaign and literally only want to do wq’s at 70. Not necessarily saying that’s the op, but a lot of folks are limiting themselves to a specific niche of content, then rushing to the forums to complain about having nothing to do when they’ve barely done anything.

DF has more overall weekly content at launch than BFA, SLs, and possibly legion (including daily WQs)…

Your argument is silly.

You know season 1 drops in a few days right? Explore, have fun, make other characters. You dont need your hand held constantly.

I don’t get how this is an argument. World Quests aren’t required content. They only were in Legion and BFA. Making them daily isn’t going to force players to do them. I want to do them everyday why remove them because some people don’t want to do them?

You did your WQs in SL, in all of it’s zones, or you fell behind in Renown and Anima which punishes you in a wide variety of ways. It wasn’t a question of ‘if’.

Oh, and the Maw dailies! You’d want to do those too. Imagine going into the worst zone in WoW’s history on a daily basis!

Never stepping foot in that nightmare of a zone ever again…

I have explored, I have finished every side quest and the main quest, I don’t enjoy playing other characters I only enjoy this character and I’ve always played this one character. And I want to have fun by doing World Quests. It’s not called having your hand held it’s called having content to do. I’ve already made over 400k gold this expack because THERE IS NOTHING TO DO BUT GATHER.

Because dailies became less quality content and more chores that could be missed and people gelt forced to log in every day not to miss them. Dragonflight world quests are just better for not being dailies.

Your average renown level is 12-13 and we aren’t even two weeks into the expansion yet. I don’t think the renown allowance is really an issue right now.

My renown is 4-8 lol.

I guess that’s the difference between someone who’s on every day and simmering who can’t be.
