Let´s start by saying that I don´t care if I am invited or not, but I have been in many of these tests throughout the years and there is something pretty odd about how people test these days.
We are having an Alpha Forum for War Within and the first people are having access, but if you look at the Forum, it´s completely empty as if nobody was actually testing it.
Seriously, if you have the chance to chat with the developers, then why not take it? We used to always do that back in the days, we made things happen we changed content after testing it, but now?
It seems as those having access, don´t care at all about the quality and I guess it is because the invites went to streamers only and we all know about their “lack” of quality, if it comes to testing.
It´s more about boosting subs and followers and a while later they drop the game without any feedback.
This in my opinion leads to the current misconception of WOW as a game for all kinds of players, which it clearly is no longer.
War Within looked so good when they announced it, but if not the average joe is able to give feedback, then it may be ruined just like DF that in theory had so much good with professions for example, but the lack of testing and feedback pushed it in the bad state it is now.
Browsing YT I found a single content creator actually explaining and analysing warbands while also making suggestions, everyone else is just making videos about the top builds and how to level fastest or they run the quests, talk nonstop about Mythic raiding and dungeons while rambling about how perfect WOW is and what not.
I was glad at least a single dude talked about Delves.
Therefore I want to encourage those having access, to please test all content and stop focusing on what class is the most powerful and how to level fastest. Test the professions, warbands and other parts of the game that are interesting for the majority of the players.
It simply put does not matter if a Warlock may do 1% less damage than a Mage or what not.
Thanks to the 2-3 people that actually posted in the official forum so far, interesting read it was indeed.
