Hi, ive been feeding the Friendly Alpaca since last wednesday and when I just fed it again (8th time) it still is not rewarding the mount. Someone else in the group I was just in is on their 9th day without a mount, what is the issue?
The issue is that you don’t know how many days in the week there are today is the 8th day since the patch went live and I have fed it 8 times every day since last Tuesday (8 days), no mount.
Tuesday, 14th. First feeding.
Wednesday, 15th. Second feeding.
Thursday, 16th. Third feeding.
Friday, 17th. Fourth feeding.
Saturday, 18th. Fifth feeding.
Sunday, 19th. Sixth feeding.
Monday, 20th. Seventh feeding,
Tuesday, 21st. Eighth feeding.
Wednesday, 22nd. Ninth feeding.
I hope this clears up your obvious confusion about how counting works.
At this point the concern is more that, since they like to make things a “secret”, we don’t have any idea how many times our feeding has counted at all.
There is a good chance that any time you fed it while in a raid group (which a lot of feedings are because people are forming raids to find the little guy) that it doesn’t “count”. Yes the quest completes and consumes your greens and he hops away without a blue ! over his head anymore, but did the Feedings counter fail to advance because you were in a raid? We don’t know because ooh it’s a seeecret.
I’ve fed him twice solo and twice in a raid group, I’m going to keep track and see if we can reverse engineer it once (if) I get to 7+ feedings.
That’s what I’m concerned about, especially since the Voldun one can be done in a raid group. If this one can’t then Blizzard needs to come out and let us know. I’d just like an answer one way or another so I don’t keep wasting my time doing it wrong.
just completed my 8th turn in for this quest and no follow up quest or mount as well. It makes you wonder if they messed something up with the hotfix to stop people from finishing it in 1 day in groups.
Confirmed by a GM that this does NOT grant credit if turned in while in raid. Feel free to see my post history to read the GM response as it won’t allow me to copy-paste it again.
