so i just fed the alpaca for the 8th time and no mount. What’s up with that?
so i went to wowhead and saw people reporting GMS saying it wont count in a raid group and to ‘keep feeding’ it? Surely that’s not true, right?
So a few people got it on the first day due to a bug (getting credit for everyone in the raid that completed it), they fix that bug and make it so you can complete the quest while in a raid group, but it will not count towards the 7 days needed, and theres no way of knowing that until you wasted your time by completing the 7 days and got nothing? no blue post, no nothing?
seriously? i mean, really? … really?
It has now been confirmed by a GM that any feeding quest turn in you do in a raid group does not count towards the mount.
So if feeding the Alpaca cannot be done in a raid group, why is it that every time I turned in the feeding quest, while in a raid group, it gave me credit for finishing the daily quest? If this were like most quests that couldn’t be completed in a raid group, it should just refuse to complete and give you the chance to do it on your own. As it is, completing the quest in a raid group prevents you from doing the daily quest again, yet gives you no credit for the mount. Nice job Blizz!
I’m sorry but Ion is ruining this game, this is just the latest in a long series of blunders, the guy has got to go.
I’m disgusted with patch 8.3 and Blizzard in general right now. It like a huge slap in the face. And for those people that exploited the Alpaca quest and got to keep it, is even more a slap in the face.
Between this, the almost endless lag, and the AH issues. I’m near my breaking point with Blizzard now. It like dealing with Square Enix at this point. Both don’t know how to run an MMO or fix their sh*t.
Don’t white knight or try and justify that Blizzard in the right. People exploited this mount on the first day. They got to keep something they exploited, without any punishment, yet the people who are doing it fairly are the one’s being punished by Blizzard with their, “Oooops we forgot to tell you it can’t be done in raid group.”
You’re prolly one of the people who exploited on the first day if you can justify any of this being ok.
Don’t agree with every decision he’s made or been the face of, but this is not Ion. This is because of all the quality control people that Blizzard fired a few months ago.
Yeah, no. For every other quest in the game that can’t be done in a raid group, it doesn’t count towards the quest being done. This is a bug.
I never even heard of the quest until I read about the hotfix in the patch notes.
I was being sarcastic. Due to a lack of quality control testing and extreme control freakazoidism on the part of devs (google: “mudwimping”) they are constantly finding ways players are playing the game wrong and removing game options to make sure players can’t choose to play the game wrong.
See here’s the thing. Such a ridiculous thing like this daily not counting in a raid shows they would PREFER that you fly around for hours in Uldum looking for a mount that spawns for only 10 minutes than get it done in a reasonable amount of time. They don’t value our time as customers, period.
This I don’t understand the one in Vol’dun can be done in raid group why not this one…the one Called Mollie that drops of the World Boss in Vol’dun has to be done by what…wait for it…RAID GROUP.
