Almost Immortal

Elf living longer than human and other race?

The Elves in Teldrassil certainly weren’t immortal
(I’m a bad Night Elf)

You certainly put the Darkness in DarknessElf

Elven lifespans stem from folk-tales and were popularized by Tolkien.

Based upon the traditional RPG elements, Elves and Dwarves are long-lived races, with relatively small populations and low birth rates buts life spans measuring hundreds or even thousands of years barring illness or injury.

Within WoW, Elves have thousand+ year lifespans naturally, and Night Elves were effectively immortal thanks to the Blessings of Nordrassil through Nozdormu.

These were diminished in the Third War, and apparently lost during Cataclysm, with Night Elves becoming Mortal. However, they do still live for thousands of years.

Even Blood Elves, who did not benefit from the Blessings of Nordrassil live for thousands of years.

We do not have a canon life-span for Dwarves in WoW, though it can be assumed to be long-lived. Everyone else, though, has average Late-Medieval life-spans… aside from the Draenei who… even after apparently 20,000 years are still fairly spry from Velen’s behavior.

Yes

Oh I can assure you we were unless we died in combat.

Too bad this game revolves around constant war. The Elf death screams are the best part of the game.

That jealousy is honing to kill you.
