10%. heavily skewed my azz. it seems you’re the one that has no idea how it actually works. queues don’t pull from the same server only nor from pve or pvp servers only- it pools from ALL servers for the region.
y’all can cry about “but muh pvp servers?!” when reality is alliance is only at a 10% difference from horde in population. y’all refuse to accept the fact that MOST alliance hate and refuse to pvp.

If enough pvpers on horde switched to alliance to make the queues even then the alliance population would FAR outnumber the hordes
The problem isn’t everyone stacked horde, the problem is alliance players dont pvp

Just as an example: say there’s 6000 horde and 4000 alliance.
Say there’s 300 horde queued up for BGs at any given time while there’s 100 alliance queued up.
That’s how you turn a 60:40 (3:2) ratio in to a 3:1 ratio in BG queues. And that’s why horde queues are way longer than you’d expect them to be in a nominally 60:40 ratio game.
Horde queues are way longer than they would be if both factions queued up in equal numbers relative to populations.
I think it’s fair to say that for every player on a PVP server, horde are twice as likely to want to PVP as alliance.
Doesn’t mean there’s not alliance that want to PVP as much as any horde, just that they’re fewer and farther between.
A horde guild of 50-60 raiders may have 20 active PVPers, an alliance guild of the same size may have 10 active PVPers.
That’s why the ratios are so badly skewed for BGs.

Right when I hit 70 I qued for a bg, saw the que times, messaged some friends on alliance asking how the ques were do you want to que arena etc… if I faction change do you have a spot for me. I was pumped about it but there was no faction change option so I decided to just slay dragons. Grinded a blue pve set, joined a karazhan guild, basically gave up on pvp. Then, they announced hvh and que times were instant. I took advantage of that right away. I was able to farm trinket and belt that weekend. Since it ended I got neck and bracers its just moving much slower. Whatever happens I don’t really care I do enjoy the instant ques though. That’s my story

Right, they’re just screaming that their faction is dying, over, and over, and over. All the while telling everyone on Alliance to quit.

Right a faction that is clearly dying should stay silent and do nothing, after all only hordes are human players the rest are npcs.
Make an effort next time if you’re going to troll with poor arguments.

Ironic. Horde never shuts up about bgs
That might be true if there weren’t threads promoting either leaving the game, or faction changing TO Horde. Posted by Alliance players.
I play Alliance, I read this BS in LFG/trade chat. We whine just as much as they do.
Yes, yes you play alliance… your own faction sucks… yara yara… I did read this a million times already.
You’re more horde than alliance.
If horde players feel “entitled” to whine to no end to get more training wheels by the dev’s why the alliance players should stay silent?

Nice, you know nothing about me personally, yet you feel you can tell me all about myself.
“ oh no, an alliance player said something I didn’t like, it must be a horde spy!”
Get over yourself
Yep, I play ally in TBCC and Horde in retail, there are plenty of Ally wanting to sign up and do PvP near the battlemasters. It just feels like an uphill battle playing this faction in TBCC when it shouldn’t.

ironforge pro is a very accurate tool and is exactly what you should base your decisions off

What makes you say that? If even 5% of the horde players on PvP realms faction swapped, that’s 3447 players, enough to fill alliance in 86 AV, 230 AB or EotS or 345 WSG games.
Granted, they wouldn’t all be queuing at the same time or to the same bg to generate those numbers, but that is more to show the potential of even a 5% shift.
Now imagine those swaps were split between target realms like Sulfuras or Fairbanks. Not only would those faction changes help horde queue times, it would help server faction imbalance, especially if Blizzard regulated the swaps so they didn’t all stack on realms that are already higher alliance ratios.
Sadly, players have seen how extreme Blizzard will go to fix horde queue times and the incentive to move horde to alliance has been diminished so that ship has probably sailed.

Ironforge is the best we have, and changes there do reflect changes in population within a margin of error. This kind of smack talk is just ignorant.
You are completely leaving out pve servers
All the pve servers are FULL of alliance
If enough horde players switched to alliance to even out the queues then the alliance population accros the entire game would dwarf the horde population

Ok so 5% of all realms PvP and PvE is 4104. That would result in a 71988/77979 A/H split according to Ironforge Pro. How does that dwarf the horde population?
The difference between horde that queue bgs and alliance that queue bgs is not 5%, its much greater
Hence why queue times would reach over an hour sometimes
