Allow us to keep world buffs after death (inside of pve raids only)

I think especially with how much worse the wb meta is going to get with stronger wbs coming out. I do think that it’s good for us to have to go out in the world and collect these buffs in order to enhance our performance in raids, but allowing us to keep these buffs when we die inside of a raid would make it significantly less toxic. I can’t count how many times I’ve pugged a group where someone leaves and the whole raid disbands because they got mad that they lost wbs (this same argument can be made for consumables like mongoose elixirs, giants, etc.).

I want to mention that this should only be the case inside of raid instances (like st, mc, bwl, etc.) and that I think we should still lose them if we die OUTSIDE of a raid instance, but keep them if we die INSIDE a raid.

Nah, WBs are a privilege, not a right.

You don’t lose world buffs when someone leaves your group.

Nah we lose our raid progression instead. Because nobody wants to join a partially cleared run. Allowing them to keep wbs makes people less likely to sabotage their raid because they couldn’t parse. This is the whole reason of what makes the wb meta so toxic.

Yeah that’s why you have to go out and collect them yourself. They still wouldn’t be handed to you by just showing up to raid.

Where’s your bench?

No you don’t :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You press different buttons in a different way than you already were pressing them, while sitting in the same spot

You do no more “work” than you were doing.

You are like a dog fetching a ball while thinking you are retrieving a duck.

It is a simulation

You are actually not doing anything

You are just sitting at the same computer typing

If I don’t see what is on your screen you could be doing taxes for all I know :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Goofballs.

Pugs don’t have benches.

It doesn’t effect me personally though because I’m in a guild and our guys don’t get butthurt and grief our raid because they couldn’t parse 1 week. My suggestion would fix a lot of the issues with pugs doing this though and I genuinely don’t understand how that would be an issue at all.

So if I chose not to sit in felwood waiting for a flower to be up to click on it, I would just get songflower buff upon entering ST? Never said it was hard to get wbs, just that you still had to go out and get them. Nothing in classic is hard tbh lol.

You can’t boon while in combat, in a fight where you’re about to die. Just figured you’d wanna know that. They’d still be useful since you would still lose them outside of raids.

I guess they don’t have Chronoboons, either.

You are not sitting in felwood bro

You are in your chair

Ahaha you got me with the gotcha! Good one, I fell for that.

My dog falls for the same tricks

I tell him he is retrieving ducks, when in reality it is just a ball.

Domestication amuses me.

It is fine until you stop understanding the ruse.

So, don’t wipe.

This is the problem with blizzcon. Lots of you folks don’t wipe. Most conventions suffer from the same predicament.

People need to tell people to wipe

Nah, their ease of being lost is what makes them fun to use. I wish they’d ditch chronoboon too. Getting to raid with your buffs at a high cooldown without getting purged really makes them feel well earned.

I bet you tell people you love your job and like to exercise.

My dog likes it when I tell him he is a good boy. He thinks it’s fun.

Playing FFVII with permanent limit break, all materia, and infinite HP/MP isn’t fun.

Playing FFVII and unlocking all that yourself is pretty fun.

None of this is fun or worth doing without risk or effort, IMO

Yes, that is a good boy. :dog: :bone:

You had that locked and loaded.

In era durring naxx 40 raiding i landed in lights hope chapel and the gaurds just clapped me, world buffs gone. I had done nothing to get attacked by the gaurds my pet was on passive, had not done any pvp right before flying, etc. It made for a great memorable moment. Sure i was mad at the time, but me and my raid laughed about it.
