Allow us to change our account's region

I haven’t asked this enough.
If you can transfer our accounts to Beta servers, you can transfer it from US to EU.
This is a village world. People move regions all the time.
It is unfair and quite frankly overdue.

Get rid of the lawyer mumbo jumbo and let your players be happy playing in EU if they move there, or US if they move there.

Being forced to play in US times while in Europe and getting the “well, start over on a new account” answer is ridiculous.

considering this game is two decades old now and a lot of people have years and years of history on their accounts, at least present the option to carry over achievements/titles/cosmetics etc.

I’d roll a new character on a fresh game license for a different region if I could keep nostalgia stuff, that seems like a fair compromise.

They’ve addressed this before. It’s a seperate company in the EU. Transferring accounts would be far more complicated than it’s worth, especially considering there’s not really a lot of call for it.

Are Blizzard still using dialup to connect their main system with other regions? That would explain why they still won’t open up transfer across realm, a few thousands request would bog down that poor 20 years old dialup modem and take Blizzard a few years to complete it. No one wants to be forced offline for many days once it’s their turn to be transferred.

I am in the same boat… I have an account going all the way back to vanilla collector edition with achievements and cosmetics that are impossible to get anymore but I have to play on US time although I moved to Europe.

There will be bunch of sheep and bootlickers that will tell you that US to EU is impossible hurr durr too old code, difficult, different country/tax/company… whatever they got used to parroting while completely ignoring that I can transfer my account from US to Australia or south america with no problem. Different currencies, different countries, different laws.

On top of this, a friend of mine who is in the US army said that when the moved to europe, all he had to do was to show his papers and they moved his US account to EU manually, apparently they do that if you are in the military? didn’t know blizzard was a branch of the US army…

So not only it is possible and being done BUT only if you are deployed in Europe?! Make it make sense.

First: Add me, we can play together whenever you want - SynthX#1497

Second: I had no idea they actually did that, and yes, it is absurd that this isn’t available to all of us. It’s not like I wouldn’t pay for the service. Name it and I’ll pay.

It’s 2024. Blizz is now owned by Microsoft. There’s literally no reason why accounts cannot be transferred between EU and NA. If they could incorporate OCE and SA into NA, then there is zero reason why EU cannot be treated similarly. Any so-called “legal” issue is easily resolved as it was with the other regions. And there’s certainly no technical issues other than the usual hilarity that goes on with OCE and NA pings that blizz seems perfectly happy with regardless.
