They would have to offer a free name change for each toon you have.
We should also have First and Last names as well.

Have 2 name options while creating a character with the second bar/area for last names being “optional”

Not fun, not exactly good for RP, but it’s two tokens with a delimiter.
The problem with changing how names works comes from their connection to the database. They can add almost anything to the naming system, but any such change would also require changing how the database works. Our names are tied directly to it. That’s why when sending mail to an alt on a different server you need to use charactername-servername.
So ‘Me’ would be their last name.
The only race I can think of that uses an apostrophe is Mag’har Orcs?
Unless you’re talking about NPC names? In which case you’d also be severely incorrect.

They should let us name our Warband. I know Warband is just the term used for all your characters, and it’s not actually a UI feature, but if they’re referenced as Warbands, we should be able to name it.
All of the Elves, trolls, tauren, etc. all use apostrophes, too.
